Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
T
his BJJ class focuses on ground grappling. This class is recommended for all skill & fitness levels looking to improve, and refine their BJJ fundamentals. In our BJJ class students earn strips, and belts given by our head instructors. The hour and a half class consists of a twenty-minute warm-up. Forty minutes of BJJ fundamentals. Each technique is broken down step-by-step by instructors, and than practiced with a partner. The final thirty minutes of class are dedicated to training. In this portion of class students have the opportunity to practice their techniques in real time. Staying true to FPTC philosophy, the entire class places emphasis on safety, and respect for training partners at all times. Muay Thai
This striking class focuses on the fundamentals of kicks, punches, knees, and elbows. Often referred to as the “art of eight limbs” instructors teach students how to effectively immobilize their opponent. Recommended for all skill & fitness levels, each class is an hour and a half. The first twenty minutes consists of a warm-up geared towards strengthening the unorthodox muscles used for Muay Thai. The next hour of class is dedicated to striking instruction and practice. Students will pair up taking turns holding pads, and striking. The final ten minutes of class is a wrap-up agility, strength, and conditioning workout. Safety and respect is emphasized at all times. Krav Maga Self-Defense
“Contact Combat” in Hebrew, Krav Maga is a practical self-defense system developed for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Krav Maga has been adapted and passed on by the IDF for police, military, and civilian situations.
