Plies, Pastries, & Prep! Our 2026 Storybook Ballet staff came together for our annual Fall Team Meeting to connect, enjoy some time together, and go over everything we need to know before welcoming our dancers back to the studio.

We’re so grateful for this wonderful team of teachers and all the care they put into making each class special. We’re ready to welcome our dancers back for another season of dancing this Monday!

And then there were three! When we opened Storybook Ballet 26 years ago, the annual studio maintenance event quickly became a family tradition. As soon as our four boys were big enough to handle a hammer and scrub with a sponge, they joined Jeff and me in making the studio sparkle.

Every year right before our Fall Session, the Mast Maintenance Crew heads to the studio to retape floors, scrub, and prep the dance studio for our students. Over the years, the boys have always looked forward to (well...not reeeaallly) this event. But this year, our original crew of six is down to three- and sadly, that number might even be smaller next year as two will graduate and move on.

While we miss having the whole team together, we’re so grateful for a quarter-century of memories, and Jeff and I will happily keep the tradition alive.

(Who knows... maybe they’ll actually miss being a part of the Crew!)

And with that, our final summer camp has come to a close! We’ve had such a magical summer and are now getting ready to welcome our dancers back for our Fall Session.

A little princess magic, a whole lot of drama, and memories fit for a fairytale! 👑 Our 2026 Princess Drama Camp was truly fit for royalty, and we can’t wait to welcome campers again to our Storybook Ballet Kingdom next summer!

Why does Storybook Ballet have two teachers in every class?

Because we believe our dancers deserve individual attention and support every step of the way.

Our Lead Teacher teaches the curriculum and guiding the dancers through each lesson.

Our Teacher Assistant is there to demonstrate and help make sure every dancer feels seen and supported. They can provide individual corrections, help dancers who need a little extra guidance, and keep the class moving smoothly.

Having two teachers is one of the many things that makes Storybook Ballet unique. It allows us to give our dancers more personalized attention while creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
