KT tape doesn’t “fix” knee pain—it changes how the nervous system perceives and organizes movement around the joint.
In this case, her knee pain was driven by a rotational control issue. She was loading through the knee instead of distributing force through the hip, knee, and ankle as a unit.
KT taping helps by: • improving proprioceptive feedback
• reducing protective muscle guarding
• supporting better joint alignment awareness
• allowing the body to move with less perceived threat
When movement improves, pain often follows.
This is why two people with “knee pain” may need completely different taping strategies.
If you’re dealing with persistent knee discomfort, tightness, or instability while walking or squatting, I help people identify the real movement cause and build a plan to correct it.
