Next Saturday June 13, 2026 is the Burrell Lake Park Kids' Fishing Derby! Lower Burrell Parks Commission, American Legion Auxiliary 868 and Tri-County Trout Club partner to host this wonderful event! All are welcome! We need lots of TCTC volunteers to help, so please let us know if you can make it. No pre-registration for the kids - parents or guardians sign your kids up on the morning of the derby! TCTC will have some nightcrawlers for bait, plus loaner fishing rods for those who need them. Those items are first come, first served. All the info is on the flyer in this post. See you there!

TCTC May Meeting, tomorrow, Wednesday May 13 at 7:30pm featuring guest speaker Ari Hart on PA Native Fish Tactics & Getting More Ladies into Fly-Fishing...
Ari Hart, lifelong outdoorswoman and Erie, PA native, established Keystone Fly Girl as a Great Lakes Steelhead Trout guide service in 2022. But she pursues other species as well, including native brookies, smallmouth bass and redhorse suckers. Ari has been working with a number of groups to promote women's participation in angling. She is going to share her experiences as a woman who has been angling most of her life, and encouraging others to participate in the sport as well.
TCTC meetings are held in Fisher Hall, Burrell Lake Park, 201 Delberta Rd, Lower Burrell, 15068. Doors open at 7pm, meeting starts at 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome. Non-member admission is only $3. Hope to see you there! And bring a friend!

TCTC Members and friends, we need some help at this Youth Fly Fishing Class this coming Saturday April 25. Can you spare a few hours to assist kids learning to fly fish at Kunkle Park? If so, let us know! Contact Mike Tutolo - info on flyer. If you wish to register a child for this class, you can do that, too.

On April 15, Arrowhead TU will be hosting a handline fishing class with Adam Nelson, founder of Daggerfish and author of the Handline Fishing Field Manual!

We are honored to have the wonderful Joe Clark of Trout Yeah Guide Service presenting - Is Euro Nymphing Really Fly-Fishing?
Joe will share the knowledge he has earned through 9 years of guiding anglers for central PA trout and Lake Erie Steelhead and more recently as a coach for the USA Youth Fly Fishing Team. With a background in competitive fly-fishing, Joe specializes in modern and innovative techniques for trout. Joe has been “living the dream” traveling from stream to stream in a camper van that he has modified as a home away from home, truly immersing himself in the sport and lifestyle of fly fishing.
