Playful Hearts Gathering: Family Yoga & Ecstatic Dance

Our Intention
Playful Hearts Gathering is a heart-centered family experience designed to bring people together through movement, creativity, and meaningful connection.
Our intention is to create a safe, nurturing, and welcoming space where families can slow down, play, laugh, create, and simply enjoy being together. Whether you’re dancing with your child, making art side by side, or connecting with other families in the community, this gathering is an invitation to be fully present and celebrate the joy of togetherness.

What to Expect:
Opening Welcome Circle
We’ll begin by gathering in a circle to welcome one another, set our intentions, and gently arrive in the space.

Family Yoga & Ecstatic Dance:
Move, stretch, dance, and play together in a joyful, judgment-free environment. This experience is designed for all ages and encourages authentic self-expression, connection, and fun.

Creative Corner:
Explore a variety of art and sensory activities where children and adults can create together. There is no right or wrong way to participate—simply follow your curiosity and enjoy the process.

Safety & Comfort:
Children must remain under the supervision of their parent or caregiver at all times.
All activities are invitations, never expectations. Please participate in ways that feel supportive for you and your family.
Honor your body’s needs and personal boundaries throughout the experience.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
Bring a water bottle and a light snack if desired.

In case you haven’t heard, Adriena’s Tuesday 6 AM Yoga & Natural Movement class is here and we’d love to see it grow. 🌿

If you’ve been wanting to start your day with more movement, presence, and ease, this is a beautiful time to join. Your presence helps shape what continues to grow at The Inner Warrior. 🕉️

What to expect:
This class bridges the steady intentionality of Hatha Yoga with the functional intelligence of natural movement. Practice begins with breath-centered postures that cultivate alignment, mobility, and nervous system regulation, then expands into playful, purposeful patterns: rocking, rolling, crawling, spiraling, and rising.

From slow, steady holds to dynamic transitions, floor work, and locomotion, this wild-child flow develops functional strength, joint resilience, coordination, and deep body awareness, while offering a potent nervous system reset.

Gabriella Gaona will be providing a grounded & gentle yoga practice with live music by Thomas Orr Anderson… which will lead into a sound journey experience by the two of them.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐠𝐚? Nurture yourself with a practice designed for deep relaxation and stress relief. This class focuses on gentle, mindful movement, primarily on the back, belly, seated, or on hands and knees— 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 standing poses or strenuous sequences. Rooted in somatic movement, it encourages nervous system regulation, making it ideal for reducing stress and anxiety. 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, enhancing relaxation and presence. Perfect for beginners and open to all levels and ages.

This morning I made it to The Inner Warrior for yoga.

My spiritual practice is just as important to me as anything else I do. The breathing. The slow movement. The stillness. The sound. The sense of community. It grounds me. It regulates my nervous system. It brings me back into my body.

There’s something powerful about being in a room where everyone is just there to connect. no pressure, no performance, just presence.

If you don’t have a spiritual practice, I really encourage you to find one. It doesn’t have to be yoga. It can be prayer, meditation, walking in nature, sitting quietly with your breath.

We need places and practices that steady us. This is one of mine.
