🌟 Can we hear it for the BEST Summer Camp crew around?! 🌟

We were incredibly lucky to have such an outstanding group of people this summer. Every single one of them went above and beyond for our campers, their families, and each other. They built meaningful connections with the kids in their groups, showed kindness and compassion in every situation, and gave 100% to everything they did.

Whether they were stepping into leadership roles, adapting to whatever the day brought, supporting their coworkers, or serving as positive role models for our campers, they consistently exceeded every expectation. Their dedication, patience, energy, and genuine care made this summer one to remember.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for making a lasting impact on our campers and helping create so many unforgettable memories. You are truly one of a kind, and we couldn't have asked for a better team! 💙

🌟 Staff Member of the Week: Marshall 🌟

This week's Staff Member of the Week is so well deserved! From day one, Marshall has been an absolute wonder with our campers.

He doesn't just supervise the games—he jumps right in and plays alongside the kids, making every activity more exciting and fun. Whether they're playing games, working on projects, or just chatting throughout the day, he takes the time to truly connect with each camper. The kids see him as one of their own, and that bond is something special.

The relationships Marshall has built with the campers is incredible. You can see how much they admire him by the way they proudly show him their projects, seek his approval, and look up to him each day. He has a natural ability to make them laugh, smile, and feel included, while also earning their respect and knowing exactly when it's time to listen.

Most importantly, he leads with kindness and compassion. He makes every child feel valued, supported, and cared for, and that is what makes such a lasting impact.

As another amazing summer comes to a close, we wrapped up our final week of Long Beach Summer Camp by heading to the Wild Wild West! 🤠🌵⭐

Our campers had a blast getting creative in Art, making their very own bolo ties, handprint cacti, sheriff's badges and wanted posters, and beautiful sunset cactus silhouettes.

In PE, we brought the Old West to life with classic games like horseshoes and co****le, plus plenty of laughs during barrel racing and a spirited game of cow, cow, horse!

Science was full of hands-on fun as campers built rubber band guns, homemade play dough, mini banjos, and harmonicas that actually made music!

Our Activity time was packed with adventure as campers played Sheriff Says, learned how to use a lasso, searched for hidden gold, and got wonderfully messy creating cacti with pool noodles and shaving cream.

To top off an unforgettable summer, we ended the week with one of our favorite traditions—our annual Fire Truck Spray Down! 🚒💦 A huge thank you to the Long Beach Fire Department for helping us send our campers off with the biggest splash and plenty of smiles!

Thank you to all of our incredible campers and families for making this summer so special. We loved every laugh, adventure, and memory we made together. We’re already dreaming about next year's adventures and can't wait to see everyone again!

🌟 Staff Member of the Week: Oliviah! 🌟

This week's Staff Member of the Week is someone who has been a true staple of Long Beach Summer Camp for many years—Oliviah! 💙☀️

We are so thankful that she continues to come back every summer and share her passion, energy, and dedication with our campers. Oliviah thrives as a leader, setting a positive example for both campers and fellow staff while never hesitating to jump in and have fun right alongside the kids.

No matter what challenges come her way, Oliviah approaches each day with a positive attitude and a smile. Whether things go according to plan or require a little extra creativity, she's always willing to take on difficult tasks and turn them into the best possible experience for everyone involved.

One of our favorite things about Oliviah is her incredible sense of humor! 😂 She always knows how to brighten someone's day with her corny jokes and silly moments, and she has a special way of making kids smile and laugh.

🚀✨ Galactic Week at Summer Camp ✨🚀

What an out-of-this-world week we've had! Our campers blasted off into an exciting adventure filled with space-themed fun, creativity, and discovery.

This week, we played awesome games like Sun-Shadow Tag, Asteroid Toss, Hot Moon Rock, Attack on Mars, and Musical Planets. There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of friendly competition along the way!

Our young astronauts also let their imaginations soar with space-inspired art projects featuring moons, rockets, aliens, and more. In science, campers engineered and tested all kinds of rockets and even explored the magic of cyanotype impressions, creating beautiful sun-powered prints.

We were also excited to welcome back the LaPorte County Library for another fantastic visit! 🤖 They brought robots for our campers to explore, experiment with, and play alongside, giving everyone a fun, hands-on introduction to technology.

From creative crafts and exciting games to hands-on science and robotics, Galactic Week was truly a stellar adventure. 🌟💙

🌟Counselor of the Week: Ella R. 🌟

Ella has gone above and beyond all summer long, showing incredible flexibility, a positive attitude, and an unwavering commitment to making camp the best experience possible. Whether she's switched groups, confidently taken on a group of campers on her own, or stepped up to lead our Tennis Camp when the head coach was away, she has done it all with a smile and a can-do attitude.

Her energy is contagious! You'll often find her right in the middle of the action—playing games, cheering campers on, and creating memories alongside them. She has built meaningful relationships with the campers in her group and has become a trusted friend and teammate to her fellow counselors.

What makes her truly stand out is her heart for serving others. Ella is always looking for ways to grow, become an even better role model, and make a positive impact on every child she meets. And it's not just the campers who benefit from her dedication—our directors know they can always count on her. Whether it's setting up an activity, cleaning up after a busy day, or lending a helping hand before anyone even has to ask, she's always there.

Her kindness, initiative, and team-first attitude make her an invaluable part of our camp family. We are so grateful for everything Ella does and feel incredibly lucky to have her on our staff.

🎪🎉 Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... Step right up for the greatest week of summer camp! 🎉🎪

Welcome to Carnival Week, where every day was packed with excitement, laughter, and fun around every corner!

Our campers had a blast playing exciting carnival games, creating colorful carnival crafts, and building their very own carnival-inspired projects. There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of unforgettable moments all week long!

The grand finale was our annual trip to the Michigan City Zoo, where campers got to see some real-life animals that you might even spot under the big top—majestic lions, playful monkeys, colorful birds, and so much more! It was the perfect way to bring our Carnival Week theme to life while learning about these amazing animals.

Thank you to all of our campers for making this week one to remember. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did! 🎠🍿🎟️
