2024 WI Gun Deer Season Recap

After the opening day success of Chris Miller and Cole Lang. Two more club members harvested additional whitetails later in the week.

Chris Lang let the ole’ 7400 ring out Thanksgiving evening on a doe. The doe was walking with a purpose, but she soon got sent to back-strap heaven.

On the last Saturday, during the evening our club President ventured out into the Arctic air to watch over the swamp. Well, that was the last move another doe made as the Hells Canyon barked all her glory and dropped the doe in her tracks.

Overall: 4 total harvest. 2 bucks and 2 does. 4 hunters.

The weather was warm earlier in the season, but turned more seasonal towards the end of the season.

Only 50 more weeks to go, and we will do it all again!

Day one, 2024 WI Gun Deer Season

AM: Chris Miller connected with a nice 8 point buck. Miller was stationed out in the swamp. A doe was bedded down and when she got up, the buck got up to give chase. Well, the 300 short mag cracked and he was forever more!

PM: Cole Lang scored his second deer, during his second year hunting. This time, a nice 6 pointer came into the hardwoods at 65 yds. The .243 rang out and thru the lungs it went!
