Year 3 of our Middle School League is underway! 🏐 We are so excited to watch this group grow, learn, and compete over the next 8 weeks.

Fall training kicks off tomorrow, and we’ve got something new for you this season: VA Elite Skills Clinics! 🏐
We’re starting this week with two sessions:

Tuesday – Libero/DS
Two hours of pure defensive reps. High intensity, high repetition, the kind of work that actually moves the needle.

Thursday – Setting
Quality contacts, technical detail, and lots of touches.
And that’s just the beginning.

All fall long, our weekly clinics will rotate through Libero/DS, Middle Blocker, Pin Attacking, Serving, Setting, and Competition.

Come to one. Come to a few. Come to all of them. Every clinic stands on its own, so there’s no pressure to catch up if you miss a week. Just show up for the skill you want to sharpen and jump right in.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB, COACH AMARI!

We are thrilled to welcome Amari to VAE!

Coach Amari started playing volleyball at 13 and spent club years with A5 Volleyball, including international trips to Brazil and Central Europe, before playing 4 years at Florida State and continuing on to a graduate career at UCF. Amari's coaching career began in college and has continued ever since, leading club and house programs from kindergarten through high school, plus a program for athletes with disabilities.

Fun fact: Amari has a playlist ready for every day or mood!

WELCOME TO THE CLUB, COACH NIKIYA!

We are thrilled to welcome Nikiya to VAE!

Southern Maryland native, Coach Nikiya brings 12 years of playing experience as a middle blocker (still playing today!). She played collegiately at Towson University, earning 3 CAA conference championships and 3 NCAA appearances, and finished her graduate year at Northeastern University. Now entering her 4th year of coaching, she most recently served as Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, NY.

Fun fact: Coach Nikiya's favorite food is ramen — she loves it in every form!

WELCOME TO THE CLUB, COACH MARIA!

We are thrilled to welcome Maria to VAE!

Lisbon, Portugal native, Coach Maria fell in love with volleyball at just 8 years old and never looked back. She went on to play collegiately in Kentucky while earning her degree, and now she couldn't be more excited to bring her passion for the game into coaching with Virginia Elite.

Fun fact: Coach Maria speaks 3 languages and is currently learning her 4th!

We are thrilled to welcome Samantha Cox to VAE!

Glen Gardner, New Jersey native, Coach Sam brings 12 years of playing experience to the club, the last 4 as an outside/rightside at RIT. On the coaching side, she's led clinics in high school and worked RIT volleyball camps.

Fun fact: Coach Sam has traveled all the way to Taiwan!

WELCOME TO THE CLUB, COACH Q!
We are thrilled to welcome Quintin "Q" Coates to VAE!
Leesburg, Virginia native, Coach Q brings over six years of experience in high school and travel volleyball. He began his coaching career at Rock Ridge High School (2021–2023), working with all three teams and serving as Head Coach for junior varsity, while also coaching club volleyball with players ages 11–16.
Now in his 4th year at Heritage, Coach Q has consistently kept the team in the top 3 in the district, leading them to their first back to back region tournament appearances in years. Alongside that, his work at Loudoun Elite (2022–2026) helped earn the program's first American Bid to USAV Nationals with the 17s age group.
