🪴The Hands That Helped🙌
In a small village lived a man named Samuel. He was not the richest person in the village, but he had a heart full of love. Every morning, he looked for someone he could encourage, help, or bless.
One day, Samuel saw an old woman sitting by the roadside, weak and hungry. Many people passed by, but they were too busy with their own problems to notice her. Samuel stopped, shared his food with her, helped her get home, and checked on her regularly.
Some people laughed at Samuel and said, “Why waste your time helping others? Nobody will remember what you did.”
Samuel smiled and replied, “Goodness is never wasted. God sees every act of love, even when people do not.”
Months later, Samuel faced a difficult season. His crops failed, and he needed help. The same people he had helped came together to support him. The old woman he cared for also prayed for him every day. Samuel learned that kindness has a way of returning when we least expect it.
The Bible teaches us:
“And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.” — Luke 6:31 (KJV)
Jesus also commanded:
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” — Matthew 22:39 (KJV)
We live in a world where many people are hurting silently. A kind word, a helping hand, a prayer, a meal, or simply showing compassion can change someone’s life.
Never think that helping others makes you weak. Love is a strength. Kindness is a seed. Every good deed planted today can become a blessing tomorrow.
Let us change our mindset from “What can I gain?” to “Whom can I help?” Let us choose love over hatred, forgiveness over bitterness, and kindness over selfishness.
Because when we help people in need, we are not only touching their lives — we are showing the heart of God.
“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 (KJV)
