Digging for some Cattail. Great tasting, full of carbs, and multi purpose plant. Edible and medicinal. The shoot down to the lateral roots are edible ranging from cucumber flavor to potato further down in the root. Its aloe (located in the top half) of the shoot is used for burns and abrasions and its protective skin on the root can be used to wrap a cut or burn. One of my favorite plants.
