To say it was a rough weekend would be a little bit of an understatement.
Starting with Addie and Nora: After the previous race incident we got the cars fixed up and ready to roll. With some help from Podium X Motorsports we made some adjustments to both cars and both girls said the cars felt more comfortable with decent speed.
Both girls started in the rear of the field for the main and on lap 3 a couple of cars spun off turn 2 and both girls spun trying to avoid them but ended up getting into each other instead. Unfortunately the #8 took the heavier damage and we’ll be rolling out a new chassis before the next race.
We were able to get the #29 rolling again for the second feature but a weird vibration occurred during the race and she made the decision to just pull off the track. Some times it’s just not your night but girls are good and high spirits. We’ll be ready to roll for the next one.
For Jake: had good speed and car felt the best it has all season. Made some major changes to the setup and had a good qualifying lap. Finished the first main with a top 5.
The second main started outside pole and from the start the car just never felt right and with 3 laps to go,unfortunately, the motor gave way. Not exactly sure what is wrong but we will dig into it to find out.
All in all a little bit of a rough night for our team, but we will bounce back!
