A few of my “whys” with ISR. 💛💙

Why toys? Why clothes? Why currents? Why unexpected situations? 💧

Because real-life accidents don’t happen under perfect conditions.

We don’t just practice swimming. We prepare your keiki to aquatic problem-solve, use their survival skills, and find safety when the unexpected happens.

Why do I choose ISR?
Because after all these years, I’ve seen it firsthand.

Feeling blessed for everyone who has supported — and keeps supporting — me and my mission: Keeping Hawaiʻi Keiki Water Safe! 🙏🏽🩵

Water safety is essential here in Hawaiʻi, where drowning is the leading cause of death for keiki ages 1–15. Finding people, families, businesses, and organizations who show up for this mission means everything. It takes a village — and we are building one hell of a village. 🙌🏽

Mahalo to this ohana for supporting me, my business, and my nonprofit, and for giving so many keiki the chance to learn survival swim skills. Thank you for opening your pool — and your hearts — to so many families. 🩵🩵🩵

Look at this sweet kiddo! That swim rollback to float looking so sharp and clean. 👌🏽 Aunty Aisha has been teaching for over 16+ years and it shows. Look how gentle, precise and smooth her touch is. Now that’s how you shape beautiful survival skills. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Little history on Aisha. She was the first ISR Master Instructor here in Hawai’i. Since then her dedication towards drowning prevention and love for keiki has shaped her into an amazing person both inside and outside the pool. We are so grateful to have her on our ISR Oahu Team. She represents the high quality, commitment and success of ISR. Mahalo Aisha for all you do and also being one of my best friends and mentor for the past 10 years. We love you! You’re the best! 😘🙌🏽❤️

Not everyone is ready to dive into ISR headfirst. But believe me, some definitely are!💦

And if you’re not quite sure yet, we’re here to answer your questions and make sure you feel educated, ready, and that you really want this for your child.

With the science, history, and statistics to support ISR, we know it provides an extra layer of protection against drowning and kickstarts your child’s aquatic journey.

Yes — ISR Oahu can travel to your home pool! 💦

There’s an added fee, but to many families it’s well worth it. The convenience of having your child learn life-saving skills at their very own pool comes with real benefits. Your keiki will learn all the ins and outs of their pool — the exits, the safe spots, the not-so-safe spots, and so much more.

Don’t have a pool? Contact us and we’ll connect you with one of our pools closest to you.

Gentle Back Pushover is one of ISR’s many “Check Out Procedures.”

But why do we do this? 🤔 Is it because I love flipping babies? Yes but no! 🤣

The Gentle Back Pushover, which I simply call “The Funny Flip,” is one of ISR’s many placements that assimilates falling into a body of water.

Common examples include:
💧Reaching for a toy or leaf at the edge of the pool and tumbling in
💧Getting knocked down by a wave
💧Leaning over a boat and tumbling in
💧Any other aquatic situation where you can tossed, flipped and/or tumbled
