Jr Growlers Fun First, Wins Follow. The Jr. Growlers Academy is a youth travel baseball program (8U-18U) affiliated with the Kalamazoo Growlers of the Northwoods League.

Twelve coaches/managers with experience in pro/college/NWL provide instruction & mentorship.

We're turning the stadium into a wiffle ball tournament on Sunday, September 13 🙌

There are so many local teams that just completed tryouts and we thought a fun team bonding experience would be to bring them all together here.

Two age groups (10-13U + 14-18u), 6-8 players per team, umpired by current & former Kalamazoo Valley Community College baseball players and a 3-game guarantee.

Each game will be 5 innings or a 45-minute time limit (finish the inning).

We're also turning the video board on to watch the Detroit Lions game at 1pm 🙂

We're raising high-character kids with a focus on developing skills both on & off the field 🙌

Any coach would take 10 high-character kids on their team over 10 individuals.

Competing, developing and winning all come after youth athletes become good teammates.

This is cool - the Jr Growlers & Kalamazoo Growlers share the indoor facility during the summer season.

The Growlers play 72 games in 76 days so they're still on the road for almost half of their summer.

But on days when they want to get some extra reps, they're able to get solid reps indoors.

This is the same facility that our Jr Growlers practice in too. Their schedules do cross over from time to time.

The youth who see the big Growlers athletes play have something to aspire to 10+ years in the future.

Guys that play for the Growlers are some of the Top Division l baseball talent in the country grinding in front of pro scouts with the hopes of advancing to professional baseball.

The MLB drafts roughly 600 to 615 players across 20 rounds every year - this accounts for about 0.5% of high school senior boys playing baseball.

It's so important for these young athletes to know what hard work looks like & we're grateful that they get to see future versions of themselves in the Jr Growlers facility in the summer 🙌

Introducing the Jr. Growlers Infielder Clinic! ⚾

We’re excited to offer a special infield development opportunity for baseball players ages 8U through 18U on Sunday, September 20 at Honor Credit Union Stadium.

The clinic will be led by Bruce Jellison, who played at Wabash Valley College and Eastern Michigan University. Bruce earned the 2023 NJCAA All Team Infielder Award and the 2024 Junior College Gold Glove Award at third base.

Players will work on fielding fundamentals, footwork, throwing mechanics, positioning, and the skills needed to become a more confident defensive infielder.

Clinic Schedule

⚾ Ages 8U to 10U: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
⚾ Ages 11U to 13U: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
⚾ Ages 14U to 18U: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Warmups begin 15 minutes before each session.

Cost

Current Jr. Growlers Players: $35
Non Growlers Players: $45

Our 15u Chisholm team traveled down to Indianapolis this weekend to compete in the Circle City Cup in Grand Park. They went undefeated to bring home the Championship. This marks the 3rd Championship this summer in 5 tournaments. This groups future is bright!
