Founded in Jackson, TN, VSS Dance began as a humble dance studio with a vision to provide exceptional dance education and foster a love for the performing arts in the community. Over the years, the studio grew into a vibrant hub for students of all ages, offering a wide range of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. The studio was initially led by Valarie Spragins, whose d

edication and passion for dance helped shape VSS Dance into a beloved institution. Under her guidance, the studio became known for its commitment to nurturing talent and providing high-quality instruction in a supportive environment. Valarie’s leadership also saw the introduction of innovative programs such as inclusive dance classes and competitive dance. As the new Artistic Director and owner, Grayson has embraced the legacy of excellence and is dedicated to continuing the studio’s tradition of fostering creativity and inclusivity. Today, VSS Dance remains a cornerstone of the Jackson community, celebrated for its rich history, exceptional instruction, and commitment to empowering dancers of all ages.

Does your child dream of becoming a ballerina? Love to tap their feet? Want to learn the latest hip-hop moves? Maybe they love performing, flipping, turning, or just need a place to move, create, and have FUN!

At VSS DANCE, we offer a wide variety of classes so every dancer can find something they love:

From Pre-School through 12th Grade, our classes are designed to help dancers build confidence, learn new skills, make friends, and discover a love for dance — whether they’re brand new or have been dancing for years!

Happy Birthday to our fabulous staff member Mrs.Jasmine Bullock! Every week you can find her greeting you at the door and answering any questions, leading our younger dancers in class, and running our Acrobatics program! She wears many hats and does it with beauty & grace. She is the kind of staff member who cares deeply for all of our students and wants to ignite passion with every dancer she works with. Congratulations to our competitive dancers for the 2027 season!

Our award-winning VSS DANCE Competition Team is looking forward to traveling to regional competitions in Spring 2027, where our dancers will go head-to-head with studios from across the region while continuing to learn, grow, and gain knowledge from industry professionals in the dance community.

Our motto word for this year: RELENTLESS!
We are ready to work relentlessly, show up each week ready to learn, push ourselves, support one another, and continue growing as dancers and as a team. We can’t wait to see what this group accomplishes throughout the 2027 season!
