VSS Dance We provide dance education and instruction for all ages and abilities In 2024, the baton was passed to Grayson Hart.

Founded in Jackson, TN, VSS Dance began as a humble dance studio with a vision to provide exceptional dance education and foster a love for the performing arts in the community. Over the years, the studio grew into a vibrant hub for students of all ages, offering a wide range of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. The studio was initially led by Valarie Spragins, whose dedication and passion for dance helped shape VSS Dance into a beloved institution. Under her guidance, the studio became known for its commitment to nurturing talent and providing high-quality instruction in a supportive environment. Valarie’s leadership also saw the introduction of innovative programs such as inclusive dance classes and competitive dance. As the new Artistic Director and owner, Grayson has embraced the legacy of excellence and is dedicated to continuing the studio’s tradition of fostering creativity and inclusivity. Today, VSS Dance remains a cornerstone of the Jackson community, celebrated for its rich history, exceptional instruction, and commitment to empowering dancers of all ages.

What a FANTASTIC weekend in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, at Platinum Dance Convention!

Our VSS DANCE dancers had an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and train alongside dancers from all over while working with talented faculty from across the United States!

The weekend was filled with new experiences, challenging classes, exciting opportunities, and so much growth. We are incredibly proud of every dancer who stepped outside their comfort zone, worked hard, and made the most of this experience!

We also want to give a special congratulations to several of our dancers who received recognition and scholarships throughout the convention!

Our Platinum Dance Convention Recognitions:

⭐ Emori Bullock – Excellence Award in Jazz & Discovery Spotlight Scholarship

⭐ Maeli Priddy – Dance Audition Standout

⭐ Annie Storm – Discovery Spotlight Scholarship

⭐ Sutton Hite – Dance Audition Standout

⭐ Lennon McEarl – Dance Audition Standout

⭐ Kaylee Bullock – Excellence Award in Hip Hop & Summer Dance Academy Scholarship

⭐ Evan Roberts – Discovery Spotlight Scholarship

While we love celebrating these special recognitions, the greatest success of the weekend was seeing ALL of our dancers learn new skills, build confidence, challenge themselves, and grow as performers.
