Parent & Me at Houston Dance Works supports whole-child development through movement, music, and play, while giving little ones and their grown-ups a place to connect and grow together.

💙 HDW FAMILY UPDATE 💙

Due to the weather and Tropical Storm Edouard, Houston Dance Works will be closed today, September 1, and all classes are canceled.

The safety of our dancers, families, and staff always comes first. With our HDW community traveling from surrounding areas, we want everyone to stay home, stay safe, and avoid unnecessary travel.

We’ll share information regarding class makeups soon.

Someday, these dance shoes will be too small. 💙

The recital costumes will become memories. And the little dancer running into class this week will grow up.

But the confidence?
The resilience?
The friendships?
The ability to walk into a room and believe I can do this?

That gets to stay.

We don’t know yet who they’ll become.

An engineer. An artist. A doctor. A CEO. A teacher. A parent. An entrepreneur. Maybe even a professional dancer.

We just feel incredibly lucky to get to know them while they’re becoming.

WELCOME BACK, HDW! 💙

Season 16 starts NOW and we could not be more excited to have our studios full again.

New dancers. Returning dancers. First dance classes. Bigger goals. New friendships. Familiar faces. And another year of watching these kids grow up right in front of us. 🥹

For 16 seasons, HDW has been more than a place to take dance class. It’s been a place to grow in confidence, find your people, work hard, have fun, and make memories that last far beyond the studio.

What an incredible way to begin our 16th season! 💙 Our Open House was filled with new faces, returning families, and so much excitement for the year ahead.

The response has kept us busy this week preparing for Monday and creating additional class options so even more dancers can join us.
