🍺🏃 FOUR B**RS. FOUR LAPS. ONE MILE. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?

Argenta was the place to be Saturday as 125 registered participants took on the inaugural Arkansas State Championship B**r Mile!

🍺 One competitor chugged a b**r in just 4.66 seconds. Another ran all four quarter-mile segments in under five minutes!

And the best part? The event supported Recycle Bikes for Kids, helping get more people on bicycles across Central Arkansas.

We've got the winners, wild performances, official results and all the fun from this wonderfully ridiculous event.

🚵‍♂️🥾 13.5 MILES OF NEW TRAILS ARE OPEN!

The Southlake Trail System is officially open, connecting Pinnacle Mountain State Park, Rattlesnake Ridge and Blue Mountain along the southern shoreline of Lake Maumelle!

🌲 Flowing cross-country singletrack
🏞️ Beautiful lake views
🚵 New connections for longer mountain bike rides
🥾 More opportunities for hiking and exploring

And that's not all! Point Remove Brewing Co. is coming to the Pinnacle Mountain Visitor Center, and Apple Seeds will bring new educational programming to the park.

This is a major step forward for the Maumelle Pinnacles Conservation Area, although some important regional trail connections remain unfinished.

Since 1982, the Arkansas Grand Prix Running Series has brought runners and running clubs together for competition, camaraderie, and plenty of miles.

With just three races remaining in the 2026 season, we're looking back at the history of this Arkansas running tradition and what's still ahead.

🚵‍♂️ 34 YEARS OF ARKANSAS MOUNTAIN BIKE HISTORY!

Before Arkansas became a nationally recognized mountain biking destination, there was Attila the Hun.

First raced in 1992, this Hot Springs tradition has survived changing venues, evolving bikes, and generations of riders. From the early Northwoods trails to today's award-winning Northwoods/Cedar Glades system, Attila has been part of the story.

We've put together a look at the race's history, the people who kept it going, and its place in Arkansas mountain biking.
