We see you! 👀💜 And yes, we’re still cheering you on—even on our day off!

We blocked off the weekend for some much-needed time on the water with friends and clients who have become friends, staying cool and getting in a few sets of our own. We loved seeing our people out there putting their skills to work and seeing how much they’ve improved! 🙌🌊

And because Kelsey’s version of “taking a break” apparently includes giving free micro-lessons between surf sets… 😂 You can clear her calendar, but you can’t turn off the coach. This woman truly loves what she does.

Good company, plenty of laughs, and a little time to do what we love is exactly what we needed. 🌊🏄‍♀️💜

If Wake Wise AR has seemed a little quiet lately, it’s because we have been CRAZY BUSY with clients, lessons, wake dials, and helping boat owners get the most out of their boats. Apparently, school starting back isn’t keeping anyone from the lake. 🙌

How busy? We’ve put so many hours on the boat that we had to do our “end-of-season” maintenance TWO MONTHS EARLY—which is how Kelsey ended up upside down, folded like human origami inside the boat. 🤣

If you can’t find her, check the ballast compartments. Seriously. 🙃

Wake Wise AR is very much still here, still booking lessons, and busier than ever. We’ve simply been spending more time on the water doing the work than posting about it—and honestly, that’s a pretty great problem to have. 💜🌊

Same boat. Completely different surfing experience. 👀🌊

We see so many people working twice as hard to surf a washed-out wave with little push—and then assume their boat is the problem. Imagine how much easier surfing would be with the right foundation. How much faster could you progress if you had a longer pocket, more push, and a clean lip instead of working twice as hard just to stay in the wave?

We’ve already completed 5 REMOTE Wake Dials via FaceTime—and that means 5 happy customers, 5 boats finally producing the wave their owners paid for, and 5 families learning new tricks instead of fighting a crap wave. 💁‍♀️🙌

Part 2: Footwork first. Wake jumps later. 🤙🏼

Jacinta’s goal is to jump the wake, but before we ever start working on airtime, we make sure the basics underneath it are solid.

That means learning how to move the board intentionally, understanding foot pressure, controlling direction, and getting comfortable with the footwork she’ll need when things start happening faster.

Because getting airborne as easy but landing it, and staying in control is the hard part.

We build the foundation first. Good footwork. Good board control. Good body position. Then we start taking those skills to the wake. 🙌🏼🏄‍♀️💜

Wakeboarding isn’t just “hold on and stand up.” 🙃

Before Jacinta ever had to put everything together behind the boat, we broke it down—body position, board placement, what the pull should feel like, and what her body needed to do as the boat started moving.

She was such a fun rider to coach! She listened, made adjustments quickly, and trusted the process. Every correction turned into progress, and she absolutely crushed her lesson. 🙌🏼🏄‍♀️🌊

That’s what Wake Wise AR is about: teach it, demonstrate it, correct it, then build on it.

Because teaching them skills they actually understand and can repeat** - THAT’S the goal.** 🤙🏼💜🌊🏄‍♀️

There’s something extra special about coaching our littlest first-time surfers. 💜🏄‍♂️

🚤Before the boat ever moves, we start with simple drills with the boat stopped, in a calm and safe environment, with Mom and Dad right there. They get to learn what the handle feels like, practice their body position, understand what we’re asking them to do, and—most importantly—get comfortable.

THEN we move into the water, where a coach stays right there with them as we take the next step together.

🏄‍♂️We don’t rush little riders. We BUILD on skills one step at a time, while building trust and confidence along the way.

🫶Because when a child feels safe, understands what’s happening, and trusts the people teaching them, they’re much more likely to want to keep trying, keep learning, and have FUN doing it.

🙌And that makes for a much better day on the water for everyone. 💜🏄‍♀️🌊

🎥 In this video, you’ll see firsthand just how important timing, throttle control, and communication between the rider and driver really are. A great pull isn’t just about getting the boat up to speed—it’s about knowing when to add throttle, how to control it, and listening to what your rider needs.

And the best part… we have a NEW SURFER! 🙌🏄‍♀️🤙

We kicked things off with a Wake Dial to get the boat and wave dialed in, then spent some time working on the fundamentals that make a HUGE difference on the water:

💪Building confidence behind the boat

Bristol was an absolute blast to coach! She listened, worked hard, made adjustments every time, and it paid off! Watching that hard work turn into a successful ride never gets old. 💜
