💙 THANK YOU, HIGHLAND AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION!
We are incredibly grateful to the Highland Area Community Foundation (HACF) for its continued generosity and support of the Korte Recreation Center!
At its 31st Annual Grants Banquet on October 8th, HACF announced $236,188 in grants to support our community, including a generous $58,000 check to the Korte Recreation Center to assist with operating and maintenance expenses. This support makes a meaningful difference in helping us maintain our facility and continue providing recreational opportunities for our community.
This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Korte Recreation Center! During the banquet, former HACF Executive Director Terry Riffel reflected on the Foundation’s important role in bringing the Recreation Center to life more than 25 years ago.
We also recognize and celebrate Ralph and Donna Korte, whose extraordinary $1 million donation helped make the Recreation Center a reality. Their generosity, along with the contributions of so many community members, is a lasting reminder of what can be accomplished when people come together around a shared vision.
From the original vision to the continued support we receive today, the Korte Recreation Center is a wonderful example of the lasting impact of community generosity.
