And just like that, our Summer 2026 session has come to an end! ☀️🌊
Let’s recap this amazing summer swim session in one nice, long post—because it was far too good to recap in a short one!
What an incredible summer of growth, resilience, hard work, and fun.
Our Parent-Child program welcomed more older swimmers than ever before, and we were unbelievably impressed by the resilience of both the swimmers and their parents. Every swimmer made tremendous progress, and we couldn’t be prouder! Our PC2 and PC3 classes also absolutely crushed their rescue swims this week.
During the summer, kids aren’t only swimming during lessons—they’re also enjoying the ocean, lakes, and pools with their families. Free swimming builds confidence, comfort, and valuable experience in the water, while instructional swimming continues to develop strong technique. We absolutely love that combination!
We also significantly evolved our Little Crushers 1, 2, and 3 curriculum this summer. We added skills, removed others, and changed the flow of our classes—and all we can say is WOW. The progress our swimmers made has been incredible!
As we look ahead to our fall session and the new school year, we are especially excited to launch our new Special Olympics intramural swim team! We cannot wait to begin practices and give these amazing athletes the opportunity to compete in swim meets throughout the school year.
Last night also marked the final night of PAST Summer 2026. Summer swim team is incredibly special, and we love the way our weekly, low-pressure, super-fun intramural meets help swimmers fall in love with the sport all over again while building lifelong memories and friendships.
As a lifelong aquatic athlete who grew up swimming and playing water polo, summer swim team and summer water polo will always hold an incredibly special place in my heart. I’m positive that recreational summer aquatics holds that same special place in the hearts of aquatic athletes everywhere. It is such an amazing part of childhood and of growing up as a swimmer—the friendships, the excitement of meets and games, the fun, and the memories that stay with you long after the season ends.
Now, our swimmers will return in September refreshed, ready to work hard, and ready to win!
We are also incredibly excited to announce that we have joined USA Swimming—something I have been waiting for the PERFECT time for our swimmers to do!
Water polo was an absolute blast this summer. My goal each year is simply to grow our swimmers’ love for a sport that has always been so special to me. Our water polo program has grown tremendously over the past four years, and we’re already excited to expand it again next summer with a true intramural league!
We’re also over the moon to announce that next summer, we will offer competitive swimming opportunities for our LC1, LC2, and LC3 swimmers and invite these amazing young athletes to participate in our swim meets! 🎉
Next summer, we will also launch our first official CIT—Coach in Training—program. This program will allow our older swimmers to help our youngest swimmers feel comfortable, confident, and successful in the water.
We got an early start this summer with our first official CIT, Olivia! She worked with our PAST 1 swimmers during Tuesday and Thursday afternoon practices before jumping into the water for her own swim practice. She was such a wonderful addition to our coaching staff, and we are so thankful to Coach Olivia for being our very first official CIT!
As a little behind-the-scenes note, this turned out to be an unexpectedly busy summer for many members of our staff—especially our administrative team. I am unbelievably grateful for their hard work, flexibility, and willingness to roll with whatever came our way. Our entire team was always ready to jump in, help wherever needed, and keep everything moving forward. Their teamwork played a huge part in making this incredible summer possible! And an extra special thank you to Jim, the one who keeps everything running and moving forward in the background.
Jim and I will be working hard over the next few days to finish everything needed for the school year before heading out on another epic family road trip. Then, it’ll be time to prepare for September!
Thank you to our incredible staff and all of our wonderful swim families for making this summer so fun and memorable. We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back to the water in September!
Thank you for an unforgettable summer! 💙🏊
5 years into spending our summers pool side racing, love looking aback at home much they have grown on the pool deck! ❤️
