At the Family YMCA, leadership isn't just a title—it's an action. We are incredibly proud of our “Leaders In Training” (LIT) Program, and we want to introduce you to the amazing young people who are stepping up, serving our community, and making camp unforgettable this summer! 🙌✨
🌟Prosperous – Eager to learn and full of potential, Prosperous is just starting out on her leadership journey with us and is already bringing so much energy!
🏃♂️Ahmed – In his very first summer, Ahmed is a non-stop helper. He’s always looking for the next task and finding new ways to lend a hand.
⚾️Alex – Talk about hitting the ground running! On day one, Alex jumped right into a "working interview" by helping set up T-Ball without missing a beat.
🦒Avery – A veteran who started last summer, Avery has grown into a wonderful leader. The smaller campers are completely in awe of him (and yes, he towers over most of our counselors, too!).
🤗Michael – The definition of a kind leader. Michael always has a warm smile and a side hug ready for anyone who needs a lift.
📢Makaiah – Our most experienced LIT, and it shows! Makaiah can effortlessly command a whole room of 75 campers during our morning meetings.
❤️Tiffanie – In her first year, Tiffanie beautifully embodies the YMCA core values of Caring and Responsibility in everything she does with her gentle, kind spirit.
📋Declan – Over at our Steiner Branch, Declan is the ultimate coordinator, leading his fellow LITs through activity setups and cleanups with incredible precision and speed.
⭐️Giselle – Though not technically old enough for the official program yet, Giselle is our honorary member! She’s been training, planning, and helping out all week long with a massive smile on her face.
☀️Alexis – In her first year with us, Alexis brings a bright, sunshiny happiness that shines all day long! She is already proving to be a natural asset, especially when it comes to the planning stages.
💚 Why we love our LITs: These young leaders aren't just helping run camp; they are learning responsibility, teamwork, and what it means to be a role model.
Join us in giving a massive shoutout to these incredible youth in the comments below!
