Maxwell Zandbergen (Forest Hills Central ’28 🏀) has been training at PowerStrength Kentwood for the past 3 months, consistently completing 2 personal training sessions per week while balancing basketball, work, and band.

His goals are to increase his strength, speed, and vertical as he works toward earning a Varsity role and eventually playing basketball at the college level.

After just 3 months, his Summer testing showed major progress:
⚡ Fully-electric 10-yard sprint: 1.68 → 1.55
💥 Broad jump: 94” → 99”
🚀 Vertical jump: 27.5” → 29.5”
⬆️ Approach jump: 10’5” → 10’8”
💪 Max Chin-Ups: 4 → 9 reps

Max has been consistent from the start and brings a strong work ethic and attitude into every session. 3 months in, that approach is already producing impressive results across the board.

Victoria Wertsch (Kenowa Hills ’28 🏐) has been training at PowerStrength Byron Center for the past 8 months, consistently completing 2 personal training sessions per week while balancing school, club volleyball, and work.

Her focus has been increasing her vertical jump and developing more power in her arm swing. She continues to attack her jump work with intent while building lower-body strength through progressively heavier training.

That work is paying off:
🚀 Vertical jump: +1.5”
💥 Approach jump: +1.5”

Victoria continues to get stronger and more explosive, with progress that should continue to carry over onto the volleyball court.

After shoulder surgery cost him his Junior baseball season, Breckton Meeuwsen used the setback as another opportunity to keep building.

Alex Bredeweg (Grand Rapids Christian ’28 ⚾️🎾) has been training at PowerStrength Kentwood for the past year, consistently making training a priority even with a busy baseball schedule.

This Summer, Alex has been playing baseball 4 days per week while still making time to train up to 3 sessions per week at PowerStrength. He’s also been training alongside a few teammates, adding another level of accountability to his sessions.

Alex’s consistency has been one of his biggest strengths over the past year, and the progress continues to follow. 💪

Lindy Shine (South Christian ’30 🏀) has been training at PowerStrength Byron Center for the past 5 months, consistently completing 2 personal training sessions per week while balancing basketball practices, skills sessions, open gyms, and tournaments.

Her goals are to get stronger and put herself in a position to compete for a Varsity spot as a Freshman. Lindy has taken that seriously, staying consistent with training while putting plenty of additional time into her game outside the gym.

She’s progressed to using a barbell for all of her major lifts and continues to get stronger and more confident in the weight room. 💪

Lindy says PowerStrength has become one of the highlights of her week, and that excitement paired with her consistency has made for a strong first 5 months of training.
