🎁👀 Searching for the perfect gift?? Look no further! 🛶😃

Message us to purchase gift certificates for the 2027 paddling season! These make the perfect stocking stuffer, Christmas or birthday present, or treat for yourself.

The details:
🛶 Each certificate costs $20 and is good for a 1-hour rental in one of our single kayaks on Lake Meyer in summer 2027. Certificates will be emailed at the time of purchase.
👯 Please note that we do not ever recommend kayaking alone. If you purchase one certificate now, you may need to pay for additional kayaks later (for your paddling buddies) — or just buy multiple certificates now! We can rent up to 4 kayaks per hour.
💰 Pay now and schedule later! Ensure that you will get on the water next summer by paying in advance. It’ll feel like free kayaking later!
🖊️ All certificate users are subject to our service terms and liability waiver. Copies of these documents will be sent with purchased certificates for your review.
✋ Our cancellation policy applies to gift certificates the same as all other rentals. A gift certificate may be refunded up to 24 hours before the scheduled rental time less a $10 cancellation fee.

It’s important to know how to keep equipment in good shape. Here’s how to carry our kayaks safely:
1. Get a buddy to help. Always kayak with at least one other person.
2. One person picks up the fronts & the other carries the backs.
3. Keep kayak bottoms from dragging by lifting as you carry, especially on gravel!

🍂 🛶 This weather looks beautiful for kayaking! We are “fall”ing for the gorgeous autumn scenery at Lake Meyer – but not out of our kayaks of course! We will still be renting kayaks until at least the end of October or whenever winter weather sets in.

🛶🎓🏫 Want to learn how to kayak? We can offer a brief lesson for no extra charge at the start of your rental time — as long as you’re cool with a baby tagging along! 👶 Hanna is a certified kayaking instructor with 4 years of experience teaching all ages to kayak.

😈🌊 Friend group getting together soon? Make your next outing a memorable one!

We enjoyed a 2.5 hour paddle down the Little Turkey River from Gouldsburg Park to the Pilot Road Access with some friends and family! We don’t traverse the rivers often, but soak up every moment when we do! 🦅☀️

⏰ It took us 45 minutes to get boats and cars in place for this paddle, so you can see why shuttling isn’t possible or profitable for our small business when a gorgeous lake is 5 minutes down the road instead. 🏕️ Although we don’t offer river shuttles, our kayaks are available to rent for the day if you can provide your own transportation. $40/kayak/day if you haul. By-the-hour lake rentals are also an option and we DO haul for those: $20/hour/kayak on the lake. Give us a call at 563-379-9651 to make a reservation!

🛶There are other rental businesses in our area who do provide shuttles for river trips on the Upper Iowa River, although none that we know of who shuttle on these parts of the Turkey or Little Turkey Rivers. Check them out if that’s something you are needing!

We've updated our cancellation & refund policy! Why the change? When you pay with credit card or other digital methods, we automatically lose about 3% of your payment due to processing fees. We don't get that 3% back if we have to refund you, meaning that we lose money & time. Previously, we could not accommodate for renter-initiated cancellations, but that is changing! Our new $10 cancellation fee will help us to cover our expenses and make reservations more flexible for our customers! Thank you for understanding and continuing to support us!
