Doing a playing lesson here at Hurryville Driving Range and Par 3 Course. Working with a student who has been playing golf since April. Par 3 courses are great places for beginners to play and practice. This student hit his approach shots pretty well. We talked through strategy and club selection around the green. Playing lessons are a great way for a teacher to evaluate how the student is progressing and what needs to be addressed in future lessons. If you are in or around Farmington, Mo, come on out to Hurryville and play. The course is in great shape and the greens are fantastic. Shout out to Mike, Nick and all the staff for allowing me to teach here!

The high school Blackcat and Lady Cat Basketball programs will be hosting a golf tournament fundraiser on Saturday, September 26th at Cherrywood Farm and Golf club in Fredericktown, Missouri. All proceeds raised will be split between the boys and girls basketball programs.

Jack Nicklaus introduced me to golf through his "Golf My Way" video back in the mid to late 80's. The 1986 Masters was the first golf tournament that I remember watching and I was hooked. I was a baseball player until I was about 15 when a Chi Chi Rodriguez Northwestern 7 iron, a 5 gallon bucket of s**g balls and 7 acres of open fields took over my free time. I am going back to basics in my own game and I am going to share some of the lessons that I learned from Jack. If you need to go back to the basics or you need to learn them, I would love to work with you on your game. I'm located at Hurryville Driving Range and Par 3 Course.
