Cole Memorial Shooting Range is a part of the overall St. Joe State Park/Mineral Area College Shooting Range program. The shooting range’s primary purpose is to provide a controlled environment for the novice to the experienced shooter that allows them to feel safe and obtain answers and assistance. Additionally, our range enables sport shooters the opportunity to pursue their activities within th

e capabilities furnished by the facility. Another motivation is to establish a venue for the education of hunters providing an opportunity to practice and become proficient with their equipment, and to promote safe firearms practices. The complex includes a 100-meter, no blue sky rifle/pistol/shotgun range with 12 covered booths with target placement at 3, 7, 10, 15, 25, 50, and 100 yards, and 100 meters.

The range will be closed July 4th & 5th, 2026 in observance of Independence Day.

Range CLOSED this weekend May 16th and 17th. Sorry for the late notice. Scheduling change for the parks racing event, requiring the range to be closed.

The Range will be closed April 20-24, April 27-30 for Law Enforcement Academy training. The Range will still be open on Saturdays and Sundays during this time. It will also be open Friday May 1st.
