DATES:
📅 June 20 – July 5, 2026
🏈⚾🏀 Activities Resume July 6, 2026

During the Dead Period:

❌ No practices, workouts, camps, conditioning sessions, competitions, or team activities on school grounds

❌ No athletic-related contact between coaches and student-athletes

❌ School athletic facilities are closed to student-athletes

❌ Coaches and volunteers may not conduct or supervise athletic activities involving students

✅ Student-athletes may work out on their own away from school facilities

Why a Dead Period?

The Arkansas Activities Association provides this time each summer for student-athletes, coaches, and families to enjoy a well-deserved break for:

Before Jason Shirey won state championships with Fayetteville and Farmington, he was Carie Dever Boaz's assistant coach in the early days of the Razorback program.
