🇺🇸🤠 Be a part of the tradition! Let’s kick off the 98th Rooftop Rodeo in style! The Rooftop Rodeo Parade steps off Monday, July 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Estes Park.

This year’s parade theme is “America 250 • Colorado 150 • The Trail Together,” celebrating both the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the 150th anniversary of Colorado’s admission to the Union. As the Centennial State, Colorado is uniquely positioned to celebrate these twin milestones—our Sesquisemiquincentennial!

Show your patriotic spirit, western heritage, and community pride as we honor our nation’s history, Colorado’s legacy, and the trail that brings us together.

The arena gets wild when the sheep hit the dirt and the kids take off! Don’t miss Cash Catch at the Rooftop Rodeo on July 7, 8 & 9, 2026.

Kids ages 8–12 will have the chance to chase sheep and grab a ribbon worth $20 CASH! It’s free to participate, but spots are limited and you must buy a ticket to enter the rodeo.

🥰 We had some special visitors at the fairgrounds today! There’s nothing quite like watching these beautiful elk and their little ones enjoying spring in the Rockies.

We admire them from a distance, though — these mamas take their job seriously and will definitely protect their babies! 😳🦌💕

✨ The future is bright in Estes Park!

The 2026 Rooftop Royalty Clinic was filled with outstanding young people who are passionate about preserving the western way of life in the Estes Valley. We are inspired by the dedication, hard work, and commitment these young cowgirls and cowboys demonstrate as they pursue the opportunity to represent the Rooftop Rodeo and our community.

A special thank you goes out to the families who support these young leaders every step of the way. Your encouragement and commitment help make this program possible.

We can’t wait for the 2026 Rooftop Royalty Competition on June 27–28 at the Events Complex! We are excited to watch these talented young people showcase the confidence, leadership, horsemanship, and character that will help them succeed in everything they pursue.

The Rooftop Rodeo was thrilled to welcome breakaway roping for the first time in 2025, and we’re excited to see it return in 2026! Congratulations again to Haiden Thompson, who made history by capturing the inaugural Rooftop Rodeo Breakaway Roping Championship with a 2.4 second run.

The WPRA Barrel Race was on fire at the 2025 Rooftop Rodeo! 🔥🐎

When the dust settled, 18-time Wrangler NFR Qualifier Lisa Lockhart claimed the championship after stopping the clock at an impressive 16.30 seconds on the final night of competition. Out of a stacked field of 197 contestants, Lisa rose to the top in one of the most competitive and fan-favorite events of the week!
