Due to the lowest snowpack in over 100 years Sasquatch Fly Fishing has decided to open its guiding opportunities early! Fishing is already underway and those fish are hungry! Call or email us to set up a guiding outing and be one of the first to catch some trout in RMNP! 🎣 🏔️ 🌲

Snowpack in Colorado is at record (low) levels. All low area lakes have already thawed and the backcountry will be opening up before the end of April. So what does this mean for summer fly fishing? Well - glad you asked: Early season (May/June) is likely going to be great - with less run off and loads of early season hatches. Once summer is in full swing (July/August) fishing will slow down considerably at lower elevations - BUT - the good news is the backcountry (hiking in to fish high mountain lakes) will be as good as ever with an extended season for hungry trout. Best Advice: book a 3/4 or All Day Hike n Fish if you want to get into a lot of fish. 🥾 🎣 🏔️
