Home cooking is just what the doctor ordered.

The 2026 race season for 2ride racing has been a test of fortitude. Winter nationals at Auburndale and Speed week at Southern were forgetable. After a 5 week hiatus from racing The Sandman Oliver Missner returned to his home track Carteret County Speedway for their season opener. The speed was there from the moment the car hit the track with Oliver setting the pace in the first practice session with a personal best time. Qualified less than a quarter of 100th of a second behind the pole sitter.

Started P2 in the feature and finished P2. Made it interesting when lapped traffic allowed the gap to the leader to close to 3/10s of a second but ultimately came up short of the win and finished P2.

Thanks to Will at Three Sixteen Motorsports LLC for getting the car absolutely screaming right out of the trailer.

The Sandman Oliver Missner took home a little hardware from Southern National Motorsports Park

The Michael Diaz family does a tremendous job running this track which is now our favorite without question!

Thank you for the plaque commemorating second place for the 2025 season in Legend cars.

Overall P6 finish in Semi Pro for Oliver Missner at the Silver State Road Course series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Saturday Oliver ran decent logging a P5 and P4 in Semi Pro during sessions 8 and 9

Sunday was a DNF due to a flying rock which caused a leak in the radiator.

P6 overall is respectable but not acceptable

Oliver showed some speed but on road course mistakes are deadly and too many were made over the series.

The more technical course which was run for sessions 4, 5, 6 and 7 seemed to suit Olivers driving style better than the more wide opened course which was used for rounds 1 and 3 and will be used in the World Finals in October.

Back to the training room.

Round 1 Winter Heat at the Charlotte Roval was pretty amazing.

When you pray for God’s will to be done you shouldn’t question the results.

Message received God.

We will redouble our efforts.

Qualified 18 out 35 after blowing the back chicane on what would’ve been a top 10 and possibly top 5 lap.

Didn’t make it through turn 2 as the outside car when right rear made contact with left front tire of car in the middle. The resulting spin ended the day.

Still had a great experience.

We will be back and better next time.
