Team Member Story:
These photos are from a few different hunts but in the same location. I was hunting on the Pecos River in New Mexico. It's located in the Chihuahuan Desert, which is part of the southern portion of the Central Flyway for duck migration. Because it's in the desert, there aren't many places for ducks to stop. However, because it's towards the end of the migration, the ducks that make it to the Pecos River have been shot at the whole way, so they are more alert and reactive to hunters. This combination leads to action-packed, challenging hunts where you will see just about every species of duck. I've hunted that river a lot, and I have taken both of my younger brothers out for their first duck hunts on it. Both of them were successful at getting their first ducks! Because of that, it will always be a special place for my brothers and me.

Team Member Story:
We went fishing on the Brule River a few weeks ago, hoping to be the first on the scene for the lake-run Brown Trout coming in to spawn. We chose a spot close to the mouth of the river since we figured we were early.

We fished until late in the day and had no luck, thinking we were just early and the fish weren't in yet. I tied on a large topwater bait, just to try. Brown Trout sometimes hit topwater!

Right by my legs, a Walleye jumped up and grabbed my topwater bait! They spawn in the Brule too, even though we weren't targeting them.

We let it go and hung out on the bank a bit until a beaver decided it was time for us to go. It swam right up to us and tail slapped the water!

Our logos have changed quite a bit over the years. So let's talk about their history!

Our first logo was a brass tag riveted onto our canoe packs by Camille Poirier himself.
Once we were apart of Duluth Tent & Awning the moose head started appearing. First as a sketch on our catalogs and a not so handsome leather patch in the ~60s-70s. Then evolved to colorful logos, each matching the color scheme of our catalogs in the 90s-2000s. Around the 2010s we started moving to a simple black and white logo and got a leather moose logo to match!

So what do you think? Should we bring any of these logos back?

Thanks Castle Danger for the idea!
