Your vestibular system is an amazing system. It does so much for us. More than you may think. One of the things it does is it sets the synergies of flexor and extensor muscles of the midline of your body (your core).

When this system is lacking or "not calibrated" it can be the limiting factor and causing reduction in motor output, poor coordination, and can increase your risk for injuries.

Try this simple but effective exercise and see how it can change your output! Tell me what you notice.

Pain is a protective output. Just because you're experiencing pain doesn't mean you actually have damage tissue. You can have damaged tissue and have no pain, as well as have pain and no damaged tissue.

Brain based fitness is about not only about moving at your best but also aiding in pain management. Changing inputs can in fact change outputs.

Going for a walk is an amazing way to train your eyes. Just a 20-30 min walk can be very beneficial for your vision.

Things I like to have people do is use their eyes while moving. Doesn't have to be crazy movement patterns, just something like look down as you squat and look up as you stand up. This is a great way to integrate vision training into your regular strength training sessions.

My workout today:
10 rounds of 12 calories on the echo bike, into hand eye coordination work with the switchedontraining app, and a quick 15 crunches, with maybe a 10-20 second rest in between rounds.
This is a create way to incorporate cognitive training while being fatigued. This will challenge your nervous system.
