2026 350 SMAC SUPERMODIFIED ATLANTIC CHARTER SERIES SCHEDULE RELEASED
BOSTON, MA (January 1, 2026) – The 350 SMAC Supermodified Atlantic Charter has officially released its 2026 schedule, marking the eighth season of competition for the New England–based 350 Supermodified touring series. The 2026 campaign will feature eight points-paying events contested across five tracks in four states, continuing SMAC’s mission of providing consistent, competitive opportunities for one of short track racing’s most unique divisions.
The season will open on Saturday, May 16 at Monadnock Speedway in Wi******er, New Hampshire, and will conclude with a championship-deciding finale on Saturday, October 24 at Claremont Motorsports Park in Claremont, New Hampshire. All eight events on the 2026 schedule will count toward the SMAC championship.
Monadnock Speedway will host the series twice in 2026, welcoming SMAC back again on Saturday, August 8, while Claremont Motorsports Park will serve as the most frequent stop on the tour with three events scheduled for May 29, July 10, and the October 24 season finale. Wiscasset Speedway in Wiscasset, Maine, returns on Saturday, July 18, continuing its distinction as the longest-tenured track on the SMAC schedule.
One of the major highlights of the 2026 season is the return to Riverside Speedway & Adventure Park on Friday, July 3. Riverside, the longtime home of the SMAC SuperNationals, rejoins the schedule after a season away and now features brand-new pavement. The return to Riverside marks an important milestone for the series as it revisits one of its signature venues with a completely refreshed racing surface.
The schedule also includes a stop at Speedway 95 in Hermon, Maine, on Saturday, June 20, alongside the New England Dwarf Car Series. The facility, recently purchased by NASCAR veteran Ricky Craven, has also been resurfaced, and renamed Speedway Presented by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. SMAC previously tested at the track in 2024, and the improvements made since that time set the stage for an exciting return in 2026.
The addition of Speedway 95 also continues a defining trend for the SMAC Series, as the tour will once again introduce a new venue to its schedule. With 2026 marking the eighth season of competition, SMAC has now introduced a new track in each of its eight seasons, reflecting the continued growth of the series across the Northeast.
Friday, July 10 at Claremont Motorsports Park will serve as the Clash at Claremont, promoted by JDV Promotions’ Josh Vanada. The event will feature SMAC 350 Supermodifieds alongside the Granite State Pro Stocks and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, creating one of the most significant racing programs of the season. The Clash at Claremont will be contested as an all-American Racer Tire event.
“We are extremely happy to be part of this race and to have it be an all-American Racer Tire event,” said SMAC driver’s advocate John Burke. “We’re proud to work with a promoter of Josh Vanada’s caliber and to continue our strong partnership with American Racer. Events like this are exactly what this series was built for.”
True to its founding philosophy, SMAC also continues to welcome all 350 Supermodified teams nationwide to compete, with no exclusions.
“There are only about 50 cars in the country, and we will never turn anyone away,” Burke said. “We welcome all 350 Supermodifieds. We will work with teams, help them however we can, and do everything possible to get them to the racetrack. That’s what I set out to do when this series started.”
In 2026, SMAC will continue to further strengthen its partnership with American Racer Tires by offering discounted tires to all charter teams. The lucrative charter program is designed to help control costs and boost payout while maintaining competitiveness throughout the series.
“We cannot thank Bill Galloway and American Racer Tire of New England enough,” Burke added. “They have been a tremendous supporter of this series, and we’re proud to represent their brand.”
The SMAC Series also extends its gratitude to Swisset Tools, VP Racing Fuels, VP Racing Fuels Eastern Sales, O’Reilly Auto Parts, American Racer Tires, and to the drivers, teams, and fans who continue to support the series year after year.
“We’re looking forward to a great 2026 season,” Burke said. “This schedule reflects everything we believe in, and we’re excited to get back to work on a productive season.”
