About Kristi

Kristi Bluett Morton began gymnastics at age 5 and started competing at age 8. Prior to Kristi’s college career she was the Georgia state All Around champion 3 times, a member of the USAG Region 8 team and a National Qualifier multiple times. At the collegiate level Kristi competed for the University of Florida in 1993 before transferring and finishing her career as a Gymdog at the

University of Georgia. The Gymdogs won the SEC Team Championship in 1994 and 1996 and finished in the top 5 nationally in each of those 3 years. Kristi has coached classes and competitive teams since 1997 and believes strongly in the importance of developing her students as athletes and beyond as well-rounded individuals. In addition to offering classes and instruction in DeRidder, Kristi is a class and team coach at Mimi’s Tumble Bee Gymnastics in Westlake. Safety and professionalism are of the utmost importance. Kristi maintains an active Competitive Coach Membership with USA Gymnastics (USAG) and has completed all required safety training, certification courses and background screening.

☀️ What’s the Difference Between Summer Camp & Summer Flip Fest? 🤸‍♀️

We’ve had lots of questions, so here’s a quick breakdown! 👇

⭐ Summer Flip Fest
Flip Fest is more like our regular season classes during the fall. Gymnasts come once a week throughout the summer to continue building skills, flexibility, and strength while staying active and progressing steadily.

⭐ Summer Camp
Camp is a fun, high-energy experience where gymnasts work on skills and routines in just one week’s time! Perfect for gymnasts wanting an exciting week of learning, fun, and gymnastics.

💥 Both options are very similar and great for skill building — it just depends on your summer schedule and goals!

✔️ Want consistent training all summer? → Flip Fest
✔️ Want a fun one-week experience? → Summer Camp
✔️ Want both? Even better! 😄

Meet season has come and gone, but the memories will be forever in my heart! I have LOVED working with these amazing kids this season, and I am looking forward to continued growth and next year’s accomplishments!

These girls bring me so much joy! They work so hard, and they love each other so much! They are for each other and have such a genuine kindness! THIS, beyond any medal they’ll ever win, makes me the most proud! Team parents, you should be so very proud of yourselves for raising such amazing girls! So many kids, including my own, look up to them, and I am thankful for the example they are setting in and out of the gym!

State meet was tough, but it was so good! They came home with lots of medals! These girls were so proud of themselves, and they should have been!
