Amazon dress and thick girl summer in full effect 🤌🏼

When I was in my early 20’s I was beyond self conscious of my body. I aimed for “tiny and toned” (yes I said those words lol) if I got above 110lbs I would panic. No matter what I did I hated how I looked. Nothing changed that until I started lifting and working through my mental issues which took years and years and is still a process.

When I put on this dress yesterday I thought “you can see every line, curve and shape to my body, I’m uncomfortable” but I kept it on as I finished getting ready and remembered that 110lbs girl who talked down to herself daily.

That girl would look up to this woman I am now today. The work I’ve done mentally and physically the last 10 years is more than she could ever imagine.

So wear the dress, wear the swim suit, be proud of your body and everything it’s been through. Think about younger you and how proud she would be.

Acting like I enjoy the heat ☀️

Honestly, last week was rough.
I let stress take over, stressed out myself more than I needed to which makes everything worse.
But I have to remind myself to do one thing at a time. And remember it’s okay to ask for help when you need it.

Slow down, focus on what matters, mindset is everything 🌱

I asked a client the other day - what are your non negotiable daily items?

She paused. And kept pausing and said “I honestly don’t know”

It’s easy to forget the things we need for ourselves every day, every week, every month. It’s easy to lose ourselves in the chaotic, stressful day to day items.

So take this week and think about what you need for yourself to feel better inside and out, what you need to make progress in your life, what you need to fill your cup so you can continue to pour into others?

Don’t forget what brings YOU joy and calmness 🌱 you can’t expect to flourish without nurturing and feeding your mind, heart and soul.

WEEK 1 OF LIFESTYLE CUT 🌱

Last Friday: 166.8
Today: 164.6

The last week was far from perfect but I tracked my food almost everyday. Highest day was 2,200 calories. Lowest day was 1,700 calories. Aiming for 1800-1900 so finding the balance of being consistent again. But I cleaned up the snacks, tracked everything including Starbucks coffees.

Cardio was NOT what I wanted it to be along with steps. Lowest step day was 4,800 and highest step day was 9,800. Spent more time in my car and didn’t pull away from work to move as much as I should have. So that is a goal this week to get steps over 7,000 every day. Then bump up to 8,000.

I will probably have a free meal this weekend, along with some needed downtime after a very hectic week. I have a lot of things in the works but I have to remember to take some down time to recharge too so that will be Saturday night and Sunday.

Very happy with first week overall and know where to improve!

Taking progress pics for the first time in almost over a year and a half 🫠

Lemme tell you my face didn’t look this happy when I looked at them, but I’ve been off any strict plan since 2021. Rarely any cardio, if so it was random. No supplements and any protocol since then either.

So here is to day 1 of tightening up because I WANT TO! Not for a prep or a show or any event. I kept making excuses, honestly didn’t want to think about counting macros and making time for cardio. I needed to WANT to do this for myself and it’s finally here.

First day of summer and I guess I’ll cut down lol this thicccness can’t hang with 90 degree days.

So my focus will be making myself a meal plan, because I honestly fail at macros I don’t want to think about it everyday.

Getting in cardio 4x week on a machine and hitting 10,000 steps everyday.

Keep my water intake up cause I suck at that if I don’t start early.

I will still have flexibility since this isn’t a show prep, I’m not trying to get shredded (I do like some curves and so does 🍑)

I am not setting a goal weight but I have an idea of where I would feel good at.

Current weight: 166.5
Height: 5’4 on a good day
Last show weight: 135ish in 2020

I am this king I will feel good around 150-155 I know I have a lot more muscle than I did in Dec 2020 when I competed last, pictures at the end for reference.
