🏁 WE MISS YOU, RACE FANS & RACE FAMILIES! 🏁

Just a reminder that we will NOT be racing this Saturday at Delaware Speedway.

Between Mother Nature and our scheduled weekends off, this has turned into a much longer stretch without racing than we’re used to at the Big D.

We miss the karts rolling through the gate, the sound of engines firing up, the kids running around the pits, our fans in the stands, and seeing all of our racing families on Saturday nights!

It’s been a season with more rainouts than we would have liked, but we still have some BIG nights ahead — and we’re ready to make the most of them! 🏁🔥

SEPTEMBER 12 — DOUBLE FEATURES 🏁🏁
Two features and BOTH are points races! Plus Mid-Central Karting Tour Points. With championships on the line, every point counts!

SEPTEMBER 26 — SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP 🏆
Our FINAL points race of 2026, where our season champions will be decided! We’ll also be holding our Jan Mitchell Memorial Race, making this a very special night at the Big D. 💙

OCTOBER 24th — 3rd ANNUAL HALLOWEEN HAVOC 🎃👻
We’ll wrap up racing with one of our favorite events of the year! More details coming soon!

We may have had fewer Saturday nights together than we planned this season, but we aren’t finished yet!

Rain sure has gotten us this year, but we aren’t done yet!

Here is our updated remaining schedule….

We’d also like to announce the 1st Annual Ron Frett Treaded Classic!

Ron Frett is one of the founders of the Delaware Speedway. He was hands on in erecting buildings and fencing, as well as pouring concrete.

He maintained the grounds, prepped the track with great love and dedication to his craft. Earning the nick name “Dr Ron” because of his precision and consistency in track surface. He even announced the races!

He is a great mentor and friend. A Delaware Speedway Hall of Fame Member.

Looking forward to some TREADED tire racing at this two day show! Date and details to be released at Banquet.

2026 isn’t over just yet… but 2027 is gonna be a great year at the Big D!

You can enter your own child, grandchild, niece/nephew, or nominate another child!

If you’re a teacher, you can enter yourself, or you can nominate a teacher you think deserves a little Back to School surprise! Just comment their name and that you’re entering them for the Teacher Giveaway.

The Jan Mitchell Memorial has been postponed to Season Championship night September 26th.

💙 Back to School Giveaway Update 💙

We’re working on a way to get our backpacks and school supplies into the hands of the kids ASAP, so they can have them before school starts! 🎒✏️📚

The rest of our planned giveaways will be held during our September 26th race.

We’ll share more details on the backpack giveaway as soon as we have everything worked out. Thank you for understanding and for helping us continue Jan’s legacy of giving back to kids. 💙

Jan dedicated her life to teaching, caring for, and encouraging children. It only feels fitting that we honor her memory by giving back to kids at our annual Jan Mitchell Memorial & Back to School Night.

Through backpacks, school supplies, fun giveaways, and a night of racing, we’re proud to continue Jan’s legacy of caring for children and bringing smiles to their faces.

Mother Nature looks like she’s going to cooperate! While there is a chance for a passing shower today, we’re RACING TONIGHT at Delaware Speedway! The forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-70s, making for a great evening to be at the track.
