Long and great day yesterday as we brushed out by Littleton and with the help of Scott and Gary (and Scott's excavator!) we were able to clear some big rocks and complete our usual brushing work. We will be out again Thursday to finish this section of trail.

Joe and I want to thank all of you who came out to see us today! Raffle tickets, membership, T-shirts, tumblers, etc. were all on display and we can't thank you enough for supporting us. Best of all was just meeting and talking to the landowners, riders, and friends who came to just chat with us! Next up - mark your calendars for August 29th when we will be over at Dalton Mountain Motorsports.

Trail master at work! Sometimes, before you can brush the trail, it needs even more work. Big rock removal, bridge repairs, culvert pipes installed, etc. All to bring you the best riding experience we can this winter. One more big brushing section on the agenda and then we have to switch gears. There are a few bridge projects we will be turning to including a full rebuild of a 120' span of the Martin Meadow Bridge. This will be over a $100,000 project the club is taking on. (Thank goodness for some state and federal grant funds!) We've also been notified by Eversource we are going to lose some trail sections this winter to their work meaning we are now planning, mapping, and working to cut new trail to keep the entire system open for you. It's a full-time job for a volunteer non-profit club.

Here's a taste of some of the new items we will have for sale this year. We will have a small number available at the Flea Market and Chicken BBQ next Saturday. Hoping in the next week or two to have them all available for sale online for you as well. All proceeds after costs are going to the club to continue to fund our projects. Come join us on Saturday 8/15 at the Old Dalton Town Hall located on Route 135. The Friends of the Dalton Town Hall and the Dalton Neighbors groups are holding a Flea Market from 9-3, Silent Auction 9-2 and a Chicken BBQ from 11-2. We will have a table there where you can check out the raffle, how to join the club, find out ways you can support the club, and you will have the chance to check out our new Dalton Ridge Runners swag for sale. We hope to see you there! Stop by and just chat about snowmobiling!
