Sometimes the reason someone wants to learn the game is better than the golf itself.
This is Matt. Before this lesson, he had never touched a golf club.
He wanted to learn because he was looking for a new hobby he could share with his dad β something they could do together and get a little quality βdude time.β
That made this one pretty special.
We started exactly where a brand-new golfer should: grip, setup, alignment, and learning how to make the club and ball work together. No expectations. No need to make golf complicated. Just building a foundation and letting him experience the game.
And Matt was an absolute pleasure to work with β polite, attentive, coachable, and just a really nice young man.
Introducing anyone to golf is one of my favorite parts of coaching, but thereβs something especially rewarding about introducing a young person to a game they may end up sharing with their family for years.
Practice with purpose. Play with confidence.
