The big boys all came out to practice the other day. 80% 6 footer and above. Great learning material. No clashing with these titans.

It was an awesome Saturday at Cotati Aikido as two of our younger students finally took their 5th kyu tests.
Well done Raven and Ronin, you made us proud!

It was literally a ‘great’ training at Cotati Aikido yesterday morning as the mighty Titans took the mat. These gentle men each measure about 6 feet and plus.
They did not clash, instead, each one mindfully, slowly and deliberately strove to not use so much strength and brawn. Even our soon to be 4th kyu Russell managed excellently. They carefully identified and extended just past each other’s sphere of strength, constructively keeping each other in check.
Awesome practice to control a comparable body since their training often consists of smaller/shorter ukes.
We, as teachers, were proud seeing them choose to study aiki principles and not resort to the reflexive pull and push, make and force.
Kudos to the Cotati Aikido Titans!
