The baseball world has become obsessed with one thing…
Getting kids to commit as early as possible.
We’re not playing that game.
At Cage 52, we think forcing families to make decisions before seasons are over is backwards! Players should be focused on competing for the team they’re on—not worrying about where they’ll play next year.
We’re not interested in winning the race to collect commitments.
We’re interested in finding the right players.
The ones who embrace failure, crave coaching, and are addicted to the process of getting better.
Here’s our stance:
If you’re happy where you are… stay there.
If another organization is the best fit for your family… that’s a good thing.
Every player deserves the opportunity to find the coach, culture, and environment that fits them best.
We’re not trying to be for everyone.
We’re building something different.
We’re doing things differently.
Cage 52 will be holding private tryouts for athletes who are serious about competing, developing, and embracing the process of becoming the best version of themselves.
We’re not looking for everyone.
We’re looking for players who:
⚾ Love the game.
⚾ Love the grind.
⚾ Show up when nobody is watching.
⚾ Want coaching, accountability, and real development.
Here’s what we won’t do:
We won’t pressure families into making an early decision before their current season is over. Players deserve the opportunity to finish what they started, enjoy their season, and explore every option before committing to a team.
Every family should have the freedom to find the organization and coaching staff that’s the best fit for them. That’s how it should be. This should be the standard…….
When our current teams finish their season and other organizations have already held their tryouts, we’ll still be looking for the right players—not just available players.
