2026 hit differently. ❤️🥍
This year's 6x6 Goalie Camp wasn't just our biggest camp ever—it was our most meaningful.
There were more hugs, more tears, more laughter, and more growth than I could've imagined. Every goalie left with new tools for their game, but more importantly, they left with new friendships, mentors, support, and a family that will always have their back.
Our staff made that possible.
We welcomed 6 new staff members and many new interns this year, and from day one it felt like they'd been part of the family forever. They weren't here for a paycheck—they were here because they genuinely care. They spent countless hours talking with campers about lacrosse, life, faith, leadership, mental health, and everything in between. Not one kid was ever turned away from a conversation.
I challenged this staff to be more than goalie coaches. I asked them to be teachers, mentors, role models, and leaders. They exceeded every expectation. We saw new presenters, some if not all who battled their anxiety of public speaking and literally blew away those fears delivering powerful and impactful speeches. We saw an increase of interns this year and they all stepped up to the challenge and helped make this camp memorable for all and even learned a thing or two. New staff who never went to a goalie camp were blown away by what this camp brought to the table.
We're not built on big names or social media fame. We're built on people with huge hearts who are passionate about helping the next generation of goalies become better athletes and even better people.
Rob Porter, described this camp as "magical," and I couldn't agree more. It feels like family the moment you arrive—and that's exactly what we've always wanted. It's an uplifting experience.
To every coach, counselor, volunteer, and camper...thank you for making our biggest camp the easiest one I've ever directed.
I closed camp with this "It's not what you do in life that matters, but it's who you do it with" (Credit: Jelly Roll)
I love you all, and I already can't wait for 2027. ❤️
