Brillion U12 Girls Soccer Makes History with Championship Win at Kiel Spring Soccer Kickoff 2026 Tournament
KIEL, Wis. —
The Brillion U12 Girls Soccer team made local history this weekend by capturing the Championship title at the Kiel Spring Soccer Kickoff 2026 Tournament. This monumental victory marks the first time in program history that a Brillion girls' soccer team has won a tournament.
Brillion won the pool play portion of the tournament, securing victories to advance to the finals.
The team defeated Waubedonia 3-1, followed by a strong 2-0 shutout against New Holstein.
In the Championship match, Brillion faced off against the host team, Kiel. In a hard-fought, back-and-forth battle, Brillion clinched the title with an exciting 3-2 victory in extra time.
"This is an incredibly proud moment for our girls and the entire Brillion soccer community," said Jared Hause, coach. "These players have worked tirelessly, and their resilience in extra time during the championship game shows exactly how far they've come. Making history as the first girls' team to win a tournament is a testament to their dedication."
The milestone victory highlights the growing success and talent within Brillion's youth soccer programs. The team celebrated the historic trophy lift surrounded by traveling family, friends, and supporters.
