The Perch are still biting on Lake Winnebago. A good friend and recent customer wanted some custom perch flies, and I believe the Winnebago Perch approved!
Wow what a good day of perch fishing and
Mr Sean Brautigam mentioned most of larger perch were caught on these black and gold perch flies tipped with half a nightcrawler. 🪱
Now this is a custom order so if you don’t see it on the website, reach out and see if there are any available.
No more details to share 🫪
Thank you so much for sharing your catch Sean, I appreciate the support bud! 🙏🏼🎣

🎣 Always thinking outside the box at Water’s Edge Custom Tackle!

I’ve been playing around with some new custom jig head colors and experimenting with a new option for the thread wrap.

For this jig, I added some gold sparkle dubbing around the thread wrap. It’s a unique touch you don’t see on every hair jig, and it adds another little bit of flash in the water! ✨

Here at Water’s Edge, I’m always looking for ways to do things a little differently. While I have no problem tying larger batches of jigs, many of my creations are unique and built with customization in mind.
That approach allows me to focus on the little details that make each jig special. Quality is in the details, and maintaining that is very important for me in my operation.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again there’s no better feeling than receiving photos from happy customers with their fish catches and my custom jig in the fishes mouth!😎

This one is extra special today because a friend of mine and now customer captain Dan Kirk sent me this photo this afternoon, sharing with me he caught three walleyes in 15 minutes from his secret Shoreline spot. 🫪🎣
Now I’m not entitled to share that honey hole, but he did let me share the hair jig color.

This color pattern is one of his favorites, and for good reason, it just works in the stained water of Lake Winnebago.
Thank you so much for sharing Captain Dan Kirk🙏🏼

🎣 SHIFTING GEARS AT WATERS EDGE! 🥶

I’m still tying custom hair jig orders, but with ice fishing on the minds of some customers lately, it’s got me thinking about the hard-water season!

So, I’m inspired to highlight one of the two baits that helped jumpstart WatersEdge — my Gill Plate Spoon!
This was my very first ice fishing creation, and it’s truly a unique, one-of-a-kind bait. I’ve fished this spoon exclusively for the last FOUR ice seasons and have caught a TON of fish with
it!💥

So, what makes this little guy different?

🔥 14-gauge stainless steel construction
🔥 A center-mounted blade that moves with every jigging motion, creating a fluttering action similar to a gill plate, along with a noise effect that adds another element to the presentation.
🔥 A specially formed spoon shape that produces a unique flutter, similar to the action of a classic Cleo-style spoon.
🔥 A stout 2X-strong Eagle Claw treble hook in your choice of size 10 or 12.

🎨 Top it off with a custom paint job in the colors you have confidence in, and this little guy is ready to hit the ice!

The Gill Plate Spoon has a lot of history behind it at WatersEdge, and I’m excited to put the spotlight back on it!
Want something unique in your ice fishing lineup this season? Reach out and let’s talk custom colors!

Thanks for looking, and here’s to another great ice season! 🥶🎣

My Loss..

Your Gain!

Unfortunately my toaster oven died on my last order here and I lost these five jigs. They had pink on top and looked great, but the oven overheated and turned them two shades of orange on top of yellow chartreuse. 🎣

So they’re up for grabs at a discounted rate either you can turn them into some hair Jigs or if you wanted to add some 3d eyes and have yourself some orange chartreuse demon head Jigs, or keep them as is they are available at a discounted price.
Reach out to me for some details, Thanks for looking! 👀

A little hard bait paint job inspiration today. Of course I had to add the unique thread wrap to add to this custom creation.
This was a change of pace for me, and I used synthetic hair.
Can you notice the third custom part of this jig? I will give you a hint.. It’s in the middle of the body🫪🤔
First one to guess it will receive a free one of these beauties.
Thanks for looking 🎣

A recent customer came to me with their own vision, and we brought it to life.

✅ 1/4 oz Flathead Jig head

✅ 2/0 LiL Nasty Sickle Hook

✅ Three-color bucktail combination

✅ Black thread

✅ Silver flash

What I really like about this jig is how unique the color combination turned out. The blue, white and orange bucktail blend together with just the right amount of silver flash to give this jig some serious character.
Do you have a favorite color pattern that you just can't find anywhere, or always wanted to try an match a certain baitfish?
Ordering here you can customize your jig with different head styles, weights, hooks, hair colors, flash and combinations to create something that's truly yours.
Big thanks to this customer for trusting me with their vision and letting me have some fun bringing it to life!

CUSTOM PANFISH TACKLE 🎣❄️
LET THE CREATIVITY BEGIN!”

A little panfish fun headed out the door, and
this order was a blast to create!

One of the things I enjoy most about building custom tackle is having the freedom to take an idea and really make it my own. When someone gives me the opportunity to customize an order, I get to play around with colors, materials, patterns and different combinations — and sometimes the result is something completely different than what I originally had in mind. 🤩

This order is packed with some custom panfish tackle built with ice fishing in mind, and I had a lot of fun experimenting with these.
From the bright, highly visible colors to the different materials and designs, these are definitely a little outside the box. 🫪

If you’re looking for something different for your next ice fishing trip, or you have an idea you've been wanting to bring to life, send me a message.
Tell me what you're thinking, and let's see what we can create! 🎨🎣
