Jonnys attempt at qualifying for his first The Original Online All American 400 did not go well.

A mistake in qualifying would put Jonny in the second qualifying dual race. He would roll off 4th. In the opening laps he settled into 5th which was the last transfer spot. After slight contact from the 6th place car, Jonny spun and had to go to the back. Jonny and the car that spun him were fast and had to chrarge hard to the front. A slower car made a three wide situation which resulted in a big wreck and a huge hit into the wall for Jonny, destroying the car.

They will roll out a back up for today’s LCQ race. It will be an uphill battle as he will need to start in the back and finish in the top 4 to transfer in the All American 400.

What a night a Nashville. Jonny had to race his way in to the The Original Online All American 400 Big T Motorsports 100 late model feature. After missing the race on time, Jonny finished outside the transfer in his qualifying heat race which put him in the LCQ. Top 12 would advance and Jonny finished 4th

Starting from the 22nd spot, 30 cars took the green for 100 laps. Jonny kept the car clean and avoided a few big wrecks. He slowly moved his way forward and by lap 57 he was up to 8th. While battling for 7th, Jonny had a good run and established the inside. Nose to nose coming out of turn four, the car Jonny was battling didn’t give him a lane to race in and contact was made sending Jonny around. Relegated to the back, Jonny would restart 16th. The car was fast and was capable of running top 5 maybe even challenging for the win. As Jonny was coming through the field, disaster would strike. Jonny was inside a car for 14th and that driver moved down the track hooking Jonny in the right rear sending him head on into the outside wall destroying the car. Jonny’s night was over. He was credited with a 22nd place finish. A very disappointing finish since the car had really good speed

Tonight Jonny will attempt to qualify the Super Late into tomorrow’s All American 400. Qualifying and qualifying heat races kick off at 7:30 pm.

Headline; “Hard luck continues for Jonny.”

Last night at New Smyrna Speedway Jonny qualified 15th with the LTP IRacing League Super Series. Not his best qualifying effort but he just couldn’t find the handle on the car and it lacked grip all night.

By lap 15 Jonny moved up to 11th but fell back to 12th on the restart. He settled in and was running laps when the 13th place car made a move to the outside. Coming off turn four, that car got loose and hooked Jonny in the right rear sending him into the outside wall. The car was damaged and the crew made repairs to what they could to get him back out to run some laps. At the end, Jonny would finish 17th 19 laps down.

Tonight it’s back to Nashville for the late model portion of the The Original Online All American 400. Jonny will try to qualify for the 100 lap late model feature. Tomorrow he will attempt qualify the Super Late into the All American 400 that will be run on Saturday night.

Tonight will start five straight nights of racing for Jonny and Rocket Motorsports.

It will kick off tonight at Nashville Fairgrounds with Epic Racing Association “Salute the Vets” presented by Gunslinger Whisky. With two weeks left to the series, Jonny is 8th in points looking to improve on that spot

Tomorrow he will fly down to Florida and race the Super Late Model at New Smyrna with LTP IRacing League Super Series. After a rough opening week last week Jonny is looking to bounce back.

Then Thursday he will fly back up to Nashville Fairgrounds to kick off three nights of racing in the The Original Online All American 400 starting with the late model on Thursday. He will try to qualify into the 100 lap feature. Then on Friday he will attempt to qualify for the All American 400 that will be run on Saturday night.

This will be an exciting week and we will try to post updates and pics as time allows.

I am excited to unveil the wrap I will be running the next two Epic Racing Association events.
Here is a little back story on the wrap: My Dad flew the B-25, B-17 and the B-29 which are featured on the hood of the car along with the Warbirds of America logo. My Dad was set to leave with his crew in the B-17 and right before he did, he was pulled from the crew, kept state side and transitioned into the B-29. It was after he passed that we discovered the real story. He was part of the Manhattan Project and did bomb testing and long range flight testing for the project which ultimately ended the war with the dropping of the two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
My Dad became a volunteer at the worlds largest air show known as EAA AirVenture. I just completed my 42nd consecutive year of attending that event. My entire family volunteers and we go every year for the entire week to pay tribute and carry on my Dads legacy of flight.
This wrap features aircraft of WW2 including the P-51, Corsair, P-38, P-47 and others. It also features the WACS on the decklid along with Rosie the Riveter and the Warbirds of America slogan "Keep Em Flying".
Besides the hood, my favorite part of the car is the rear end that features "Honor our Veterans" along with two pictures of my Dad.
I hope you all enjoy this car as it is very special to me.

Last night was a warm up race at Hickory Motor speedway for the upcoming LTP IRacing League Super Series.

16 car would make the 70 lap race on time and 4 more would transfer in through the LCQ. Jonny qualified 15th to lock in. The race was marred with cautions but Jonny kept the car clean and in one piece. With three laps to go, Jonny fought his way up to third. A late caution flew causing a green white checker finish. On the restart, Jonny was getting pressure from behind and coming out turn 4 coming to the checker, the fourth place car snuck a nose in and moved Jonny. Jonny would make a great save and come across the line 6th.

It has been a long time since we have done any updates, so here we go

Jonny has been competing off and on with the All Pro Sim Racing League and the ALL-STAR Winter Challenge Series. The new season of the All-Star Winter Challenge Series will be starting soon and Jonny will be behind the wheel of his #5 late model on Monday nights.

Currently, he has been competing with the Epic Racing Association on Tuesday nights with the late model. After 7 weeks of racing, Jonny is sitting 8th in points. That series is broadcast weekly on The Dirt Racing Network.


He will also be competing with the LTP Super Series on Wednesday nights starting next week.

We have several special events on the schedule starting with the The Original Online All American 400 November 12-16. Jonny will be competing on Thursday with the late model and then will try to qualify for the All American 400 on Friday. The 400 will be run on Saturday. He is also entered in the 2024 Asphalt World Championship at virtual Concord speedway on November 23rd. Following that race, Jonny will attempt to qualify for the Big Show Derby on Dec 1st & 2nd.

This will be a busy winter racing season for Jonny and Rocket Motorsports. Watch for race updates.

We haven’t updated the page too much lately. Johnny has been racing with the ALL-STAR Sim Series and the All Pro Sim Racing League. We will starting posting more and giving updates

This week Johnny sat out the races due to have a surgery today. He is home recovering a. Should be back behind the wheel next week.

Johnny is once again the assistant tech official for the WIR 1/4 Mile Late Models. Their season kicks off this Saturday with the TUNDRA Super Late Models at Wisconsin International Raceway.
