Hard truth about taking care of yourself: there are no quick fixes.
I keep hearing about Ozempic, lap bands, people sucking the fat out and moving it somewhere else. That’s not health. That’s not something that holds up long-term. You can’t order success online and you definitely can’t overnight it.
What’s in your head — how you actually feel about yourself — is 100% of how you get where you want to be. For me that’s been so many therapy sessions and meditations I’ve lost count. It’s showing up to the gym when it’s hard, or when you’ve only got 10 minutes. We all get the same 24 hours. Some of us have kids, some are working multiple jobs — and taking care of yourself still has to come first. You can’t show up 100% for anyone else if you’ve got nothing left for you.
Your body is a beautiful thing, and you get to build it and feel however you want — in the gym and in the kitchen. I still eat cookies and ice cream. Just not all the time. There’s balance. Carbs AND protein. Real food and real life.
No shortcuts. Just you, showing up, over and over.
