My name is Tito Jones, and I’ve dedicated my life to martial arts. I started training at 8 years old in traditional disciplines like Taekwondo and Karate, and over the years I expanded into wrestling, boxing, and mixed martial arts.
I became a Northern Florida Golden Gloves Boxing Champion and had the opportunity to train under world-class boxing coach Roy Jones Sr., where I developed high-level striking skills and a deep understanding of movement, timing, and discipline.
Following my dream of becoming a professional fighter, I moved from Panama City, Florida to Phoenix, Arizona, where I trained with the professional fight team at Arizona Combat Sports—one of the top MMA gyms in the country at the time. I began my career competing in events like Rage in the Cage and shows in New Mexico, eventually going on to fight at higher levels.
I later trained in Sacramento, California with Team Alpha Male, and throughout my career I competed in respected organizations including Strikeforce, World Series of Fighting, and the prestigious Vale Tudo Japan, appearing multiple times on national television. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of training with world champions, elite grapplers, and even Olympic gold medalists in wrestling.
I’ve been seriously focused on grappling since 2006, and after my MMA career I dedicated myself fully to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I am currently a Brown Belt and continue to learn, grow, and refine my craft every day.
What sets me apart as an instructor is my diverse background across striking, wrestling, and high-level MMA competition. I don’t just teach techniques—I teach how and when to apply them in real situations. I’m able to break down Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a way that blends pressure, control, timing, and awareness from all aspects of combat sports, making it practical, effective, and easy to understand for students of all ages and experience levels.
As I bring PRAXXIS JIU JITSU to Chipley, my goal is to build more than just a gym—I want to create a positive, community-driven environment where families, kids, and adults can come together to learn, grow, and support one another both on and off the mats.
