My friends and Quail hunters,
As soon as the season was over, it was time to mow things down and burn the area where many of you have hunted with Strick. The privet was getting bad and has to go. Next season it will look good, sagebrush and Wiregrass should thrive
It will be a busy off season with all the mowing and burning we need to do but we hope to see you next season and that you’ll enjoy the walk and the Quail hunting you have come to enjoy!!

A Note From a Recent Hunt: Ted, we want to express our praise and gratitude for a wonderful experience hunting the Hard Labor Plantation. This is the second time hunting your property with Jerry Strickland, and we loved it again. This was the first time we have hunted quail for a full day and it was everything we hoped it would be. The weather was perfect! Jerry was tremendous fun as our guide. The cleaning of the birds was excellent and all was done with very pleasant southern hospitality! We also thank you for coming out to talk with us. It is an added bonus that you filmed a portion of our hunt with the drone. Looking forward to seeing the result.

These ladies, driving from San Francisco to Orlando, had never held a gun, hunted, or seen a Quail, booked a hunt with us and after safety and working on s***t range, went out with Strick and his son Josh.
Came back with 7 birds and then helped clean them.
They had a blast and so did we. Another great memory made at HLCP.

Our first hunt of the year! Really enjoyed watching the Keith and Beth Yockey training their dogs for an upcoming trial....
