Today we’re celebrating Aubrey Deal! 📣✨

Aubrey has been a varsity cheerleader for all four years of high school, and her favorite part of cheer is stunting. One of her favorite memories from her cheer journey is going to Auburn University for cheer camp her sophomore year and spending break time with Sydney and Marlaina - memories and friendships that have made her years in cheer even more special. 💙

Aubrey says her teammates have made the biggest impact on her throughout her cheer journey. Through the years, she has gained some of her most valuable friendships and learned important lessons about teamwork and leadership that she’ll carry with her beyond high school.

After graduation, Aubrey plans to earn her AA from Chipola College before continuing her education at Florida State University, where she plans to pursue a degree in Engineering. 🎓✨

And a fun fact about Aubrey - she loves animals! 🐾💛

💙💛 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: ALEXIS HANGER 💛💙

Now we’re celebrating Alexis Hanger! 📣✨

Alexis has been cheering for six years and currently serves as a captain and flyer for CHS Cheer - and if you know Alexis, you know that flying is definitely her favorite part! 💙 Along with cheer, she balances being a full-time Chipola College student and working part-time.

One of Alexis’s favorite memories is making Varsity her freshman year. She had no idea then just how much this team would become a part of her life. Over the years, she has grown not only as a cheerleader, but also as a teammate and leader.

Alexis credits her mom, dad, and Keyten as her biggest supporters. They’ve encouraged her through every season, listened to countless cheer stories, and always helped keep her on her feet - literally and figuratively! 💛

Through cheerleading, Alexis has learned patience, flexibility, leadership, and how to keep going when things don’t go exactly as planned. Through every high and low, she has learned that somehow, you figure it out and keep moving forward.

After high school, Alexis plans to continue her education in nursing, with the goal of becoming a nurse and eventually furthering her education to become either a nurse practitioner or nurse anesthetist. 🩺✨

Looking back, Alexis is thankful for every stunt, practice, laugh, challenge, friendship, and memory that cheer has given her. While graduation may mean hanging up her cheer shoes, a little bit of the cheerleader in her will always remain. 💙💛

💙💛 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: SYDNEY CORBIN 💛💙

Today we’re celebrating Sydney Corbin! 📣✨

One of Sydney’s favorite memories from her cheer journey goes all the way back to her freshman year at cheer camp, when she became friends with Aubrey - a friendship that would go on to become one of the most meaningful parts of her time in cheer. 💙

When asked who has made the biggest impact on her cheer journey, Sydney’s answer is Aubrey. Through cheer, Sydney has learned the importance of following through with things even when you’re scared - a lesson that takes courage both on and off the sidelines.

After high school, Sydney plans to continue her education at Chipola College before transferring to pursue a law degree. ⚖️✨

We are so proud to celebrate Sydney and can’t wait to see where the future takes her! 💙💛

💙💛 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: MIA DIEPPA-CORBIN 💛💙

Today we’re celebrating Mia Dieppa-Corbin! 📣✨

Mia has been a varsity cheerleader for four years, and one of her favorite parts of cheer is the bond she shares with her teammates and coaches. To Mia, they’ve become more than a team - they feel like family. 💙

Her favorite cheer memory is winning the banana at UCA Camp this past year! 🍌 Through her years in cheer, Mia says she has learned confidence, perseverance, discipline, and communication - lessons that will carry with her far beyond the sidelines.

Mia is also passionate about weightlifting and has competed at the state level twice and nationals once! 🏋️‍♀️

After high school, Mia plans to continue her education with the goal of attending medical school and becoming a pediatrician. 🩺🤍

She is especially thankful for her teammates, coaches, and family for always supporting her and believing in her throughout her journey.

We are so proud to celebrate Mia and all she has accomplished, and we can’t wait to see what her future holds! 💙💛

💙💛 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: SAVANNAH TICE 💛💙

Today we’re celebrating Savannah Tice! 📣✨

Savannah has cheered for six years - two years in middle school and all four years of high school. One of her favorite things cheer has given her is the opportunity to build new bonds and friendships along the way. Her favorite cheer memory is winning the banana at UCA Camp! 🍌💙

Savannah says her sophomore year coach made the biggest impact on her cheer journey by helping her reach her full potential and rebuild her confidence during one of her hardest seasons. Having someone trust her and believe in her when she needed it most helped teach Savannah one of cheer’s biggest lessons: be confident and never give up, no matter how hard it gets.

After high school, Savannah plans to finish her AA at Chipola College and then attend nursing school wherever God leads her. 🤍

She would like to thank every coach who has been part of her journey for helping shape her into the cheerleader she is today. Most of all, she thanks her parents for being her biggest supporters through the wins, losses, injuries, frustrations, and happiest moments - and for every sacrifice they’ve made to help her reach her dreams.

And one fun fact about Savannah? Disney is her all-time favorite place to be! 🏰✨

Her advice to those coming behind her:

“Don’t let a temporary setback stop you from achieving your goals!” 💙

💙💛 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: MARLAINA REGISTER 💛💙

Today we’re celebrating Marlaina Register! 📣✨

Marlaina has been cheering her whole life, and her favorite part of cheer is putting all the pieces together to create a routine. One of her favorite cheer memories goes all the way back to 7th grade, when she won a hang drill competition!

She credits her very first competitive cheer team with making the biggest impact on her cheer journey. Through the years, cheer has taught Marlaina to be flexible in more ways than one - a lesson she’ll carry with her long after she leaves the sidelines. 💙

After high school, Marlaina plans to attend a university to earn her business degree as well as her cosmetology license. And before graduation arrives, she has another exciting experience ahead - this October, Marlaina will compete in the Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant! 👑🥜

We are so proud to celebrate Marlaina and all that lies ahead for her! 💙💛

Maggie has been a cheerleader for 3 years, and her favorite part of cheer is stunting! One of her favorite memories is attending UCA Camp for the first time and experiencing getting the Banana. 🍌

Throughout her cheer journey, Maggie says her competition cheer coaches made the biggest impact by encouraging her and pushing her to get through each competition. Cheer has taught her not to be so fearful and to believe that she is capable. 💙

After high school, Maggie plans to attend Chipola College and major in Psychology. 🎓

Maggie would especially like to thank her parents, who have shaped her into the person she is today and have done so much for her along the way. 💛

Today we’re celebrating senior Amy Brandon! 📣🐯

Amy has been cheering for 4 years, and if you ask her favorite part of cheer, the answer is easy - stunting, obviously! 😂💙 One of her favorite memories is winning the UCA Banana with her team! 🍌

Throughout her cheer journey, Amy says her family, coaches, and teammates have made the biggest impact on her. Cheer has taught her to stand out and not be a follower - a lesson she’ll carry far beyond the sidelines.

After graduation, Amy plans to pursue a future as a Forensic Anthropologist. She also wants to thank her parents for supporting her throughout her years of cheerleading. 💛

💙💛 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT | KEIRA McCLAIN 💛💙

As we count down to Senior Night this Friday, we’re celebrating the seniors who have left their mark on Chipley Cheer! 🐯📣

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Keira McClain!

Keira has spent 3 years in competitive cheer and 2 years cheering sideline. Her favorite part of cheer has been the bonds she’s built with the people around her, and one of her favorite memories will always be the very first time she competed.

The person who made the biggest impact on Keira’s cheer journey is Coach Greg from World Class in PCB, the coach who helped her fall in love with the sport. She says he believed in her during the moments she didn’t believe in herself and continually pushed her to become the best version of herself. His words have stayed with her throughout her journey:

✨ “Can’t Never Could.” ✨

Through cheer, Keira has learned to never give up on herself or her abilities - a lesson she’ll carry far beyond the sidelines.

After graduation, Keira plans to receive her AA from Chipola College this spring before transferring to a four-year university to complete her degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology, with hopes of becoming a Pediatric Physical Therapist. 🎓

Most of all, Keira gives a big thank-you to her parents for always pushing her to be her best and encouraging her to follow the Lord’s guidance. ❤️

We are so excited to celebrate Keira and all of our seniors under the Friday night lights this week!
