We believe in self-care within the context of community care. Move differently, think differently! If you’re interested in focused martial arts training in a welcoming community of like minded students, Rivertide Aikido is for you! You will learn techniques that employ circular movements, timing and blending to neutralize attacks with throws or joint locks. Your training in Aikido will develop men
tal focus, core strength, balance and flexibility. Our emphasis on a cooperative training model has proven to keep beginners safe and everyone having fun!
“Steadiness & Ease” Yoga classes focus on playful exploration of movement and breath. Students are invited to practice radical listening to their own bodies, adapting the practice as desired, and resting when called to do so. Physical adjustments are offered only with active express consent. All bodies are welcome. All genders are welcome. Iaido is the traditional art of drawing the Japanese sword from it’s scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then resheathing the sword. Training is based on Muso Shinden Ryu. Permission to participate is given by Sensei on an individual basis.
