The coaches and staff of the Indiana Elite AAA hockey program have asked us to extend a thank you to the following current and former IYHA families for their service as a 'host family' this past season!

Host families in the Indianapolis area play a vital role in helping players advance to higher levels of hockey while competing for Indiana Elite AAA teams. Players from across the state converge on Indianapolis to pursue their hockey goals, host families ensure these players are welcomed to a warm home while they are here studying, training, and competing.

Several Indiana Elite 2007 born players are moving on to higher levels of hockey after spending their high school careers in Indianapolis, thanks in many ways to the environment created here for them by their Indy area host families:
- Nick Beam of Louisville
- Gavin Fleischer of Ft. Wayne
- Brayden Hunter of Ft. Wayne
- Filip Pliastos of Ft. Wayne
- Max Workman of South Bend

While it may not have been the outcome we were all hoping for, we are so proud of what 14U Gold accomplished in Dallas.
At the end of round-robin play, the Jr Fuel found themselves in a 3-way tie for first place in the 'Olympic' pool, with all three teams with records of 2-1. Coming home with a winning record on USA Hockey's biggest stage is an accomplishment that deserves recognition!

The Jr Fuel had opened the tournament with a gutsy 4-2 win against the Atlanta Madhatters. They dropped one to the Arizona Bobcats, but immediately answered back with a resounding 5-3 victory over the Providence Capitals.
As head-to-head tie breakers were washed out, the deciding factor of who advanced came down to goal differential, and that math was not in the favor of 14U Gold.

14U Gold's improvement this year is best showcased in their 18-5 record since returning from the holiday break in January. Coach Boone described their end of season run as a "total team effort," and continued that this is one of the closest teams he's ever coached!

Congratulations on an incredible run, 14U Gold!

Indy Jr Fuel Alum and 2025 Hometown Hero, Malaya Anaba and her Amherst College Mammoths are Frozen Four bound!

Huge congratulations to Malaya and her Mammoth teammates as they advance to the Frozen Four of NCAA DIII Women's hockey. They will take on UW-River Falls on Friday, March 27th at 8 pm.

Malaya, a freshman, is a strong contributor to a renowned program at Amherst College. This 2026 appearance is the program's 11th trip to the Frozen Four, advancing to the championship game in both 2023 and 2025.

This photo was taken after they captured the NESCAC Championship in early March, their second in two years.

We are so proud of you, Malaya! Keep up the great work and go Mammoths!

8U Red All-Stars continued their streak of memory making tournaments! This time on the big ice at the Compton Family Ice Arena on the campus of Notre Dame in beautiful South Bend, Indiana.

The good guys finished in 3rd place with a resounding 5-1 in their final game, showing marked improvement not only from the beginning of the season, but even throughout the weekend. Asher Meiners had the hot stick, recording a hat-trick in their opening contest and the game-winner of their final.

However, the biggest win of the weekend is the fact that the entire team was at the rink a full hour ahead of their 7 am game! That takes quality leadership, which this group has in spades!

Well done, 8U Red! We are very proud of your development this season, and we are so excited to see how these players progress through their playing careers.
