If you've been thinking about starting an exercise routine, here are 2 things to keep in mind:

👟 Get a good pair of walking shoes.
They're one of the best investments you can make to help keep your feet, knees, hips, and back happy.

🚶‍♀️ Start slow. You don't need to exercise for an hour. Start with 5–10 minutes a day and give your body time to adapt.

Remember, fitness isn't about doing everything perfectly. It's about taking the first step and then taking another one tomorrow.

🍅 Here's how to make it!

🍅 One big, fat tomato
🧀 A bit of cottage cheese
🟡 A titch of Dijon mustard
🦃 Turkey or ham
🥑 1/4 avocado
🌶️ Banana peppers

That's it!

It's packed with protein, takes about 2 minutes to make, and tastes like summer on a plate.

You know what's not on most people's fitness goals list?

👉 Getting up off the floor.

But maybe it should be.

Today our campers practiced one of the most functional movements we do: sitting down on the floor and standing back up again.

No fancy equipment. No complicated choreography. Just a skill that matters in real life.

Because fitness isn't only about how much you can lift or how fast you can run.

It's about being able to get down on the floor to play with the grandbabies. It's about having confidence if you take a tumble. It's about staying independent for as long as possible.

Is it challenging?

Yep.

Do people cheer when we put it in the workout?

Nope. 😂

But we keep practicing because our future selves will thank us.

Sometimes the wins have nothing to do with the scale. 💛

This camper told us she’s gone paddle boarding for years but before Boot Camp Challenge she always stayed sitting down.

But not on this day.

She transitioned from sitting ➡️ kneeling ➡️ standing and paddling. 🙌

And if you’ve ever been scared to try something physical, if you’ve ever doubted your balance, strength, or ability…

You know this is a BIG deal. 👊

You know what Boot Camp Challenge gives you that other programs don’t?

ACCOUNTABILITY! It’s part of the personal benefits of this program!

If you don’t show up, I notice and message you. Sometimes it may be accompanied by a little tough love if needed! But there’s always compassion included because change is hard and life can be hard and you need a trainer to walk alongside you, not just prodding you from the back or dragging you from the front. We are a team, you and I, and we have the same goal: to get and keep you on track so you can live your best life for as long as possible!

If a lack of accountability is a reason you’ve struggled in the past, this is your solution.

Cuz it's and here's what we think of nurses...

🩺They are the most kind and selfless peeps. They combine clinical expertise with deep compassion often acting as our "person" in our greatest time of need.

💉They have a special way of helping us remain calm in the most chaotic of circumstances.

👩‍⚕️They are our biggest advocates when we can't advocate for ourselves.

And let's be honest, there is a special place in heaven for nurses. Right along side teachers. ❤️

Give some love today to the nurses in your life.

And to those in our BCC fitfam, know we love you so HARD!
