Why should training accommodate you as an individual?

Training ≠ Sport

Training = make it as easy as you can to improve your physical abilities.

Sport = Learn how to best apply your physical abilities to different challenges through skill and learning.

Youth Strength Training

< ~6 months of experience they can get away with easier efforts and training 1-2x per week.

But, quickly they will need to bump up that intensity to about 70% of max and lift 2-3x per week to see the results they want.

3-5 exercises per day for 2-3 sets gets the job done.

Amazing first day of the Level 1 course. The coaches are so passionate and hungry to learn and improve themselves. This gym is stunning! And the owners really understand the importance of investing in education, coaches, and the quality of training.

And they gave me the gym aux for our warmup today so of course I put on 🤘

Level 2 Certification content: Plyometrics and muscle/tendon behavior:

-Plyometrics & the Stretch Shortening Cycle

Ideally:

💪 a strong muscle that can quickly contract eccentrically and “put on the brakes” which allows…

💪a stiff (strong) yet elastic tendon to stretch. This stretch is like that of a rubber band when you pull on it: it snaps back with power!

Which enhances the overall power output of the movement.
